A very well written book, covering the history, life, times and evolution of the clan. Essential reading for any Prideaux descendant and anyone interested in the history of the Cornwall area. If you are visting Cornwall, this book is a "must".

The book is a bit of a dry read, but as a Prideaux I found it fascinating! With the use of some additional information I managed to trace my ancestory back through several pages of charts to the very begining of (Prideaux) time. As R. M. says, there aren't many very exciting Prideaux's, either possitive or negative, but the book is interesting as a historical reference. I managed to find a new copy of the book in an online store in Cornwall, but the site is nolonger active. I am sure the folks at Amazon can find a copy if you are patient. |
