This stuff is near scandinavian sound from 90's. It's raw, occult and melodic (but not wimpy..).

I actually stumbled across this on Red Stream's on-line distro (redstream.org ) You can tell this is rare c.d, as it is an old Necropolis release from the early 90s I am surprised they had this in stock. But just like many other old metal cd's on Necropolis, it went out of print (War who turned into Total War thanks to the old hippie band) Anyway, I got this about a month ago so it's still out there in circulation. For the most part this is straight-up, traditional black metal... And it is damn good stuff. Doesn't sound like a blistering Marduk disc. It maintains a steady pace, but it goes from slow/mid-paced to fast. Try to catch it while you can b/c this is a gem. - Jay in Texas

Without a doubt one of the greatest Black Metal albums of all time. Its to bad this album is just about impossible to find now. I have no idea what happened to this band, but they created the of the greatest albums ever. I have a copy of the cd, but it skips, its very disappointing ... and ive looked everywhere for a new copy but its impossible to find. If you find this, get it...you will not be disappointed.

the Black are a very fast and technical band, they are pure satanism at its best. I haven't heard a band like them since cradle of filth's principle..., except they are much faster, the vocals are also pretty extreme, the only thing that I would have liked to see would be some growling in the vocals , and a tiny bit more female vocals in the background, but this album is still amazing. The synthezires are very well done, with very clean production, Listen to "towards the golden dawn" for some killer drums,"Black blood" has one of the best melodies i have ever heard, it's very wavey, it starts slow but when the vocals kick in u'll feel the raw talent of the singer and the band."Lady Lilith" enables u to hear the singer's voice with no problem, something i've noticed in black metal is that vocals are sometimes too low, this is not the case with the Black, the melody is amazing and the guitars have very "grindy" riffs. You can actually concentrate on one instrument at a time .Unlike other black metal bands all the instruments are "mixed together" like mayhem , emperor, cradle of filth,dimmu borgir,hecate enthroned, ancient... if you liked this i recommend old man's child, mithotyn, arcturus . The Black is definetly one of the best Black Metal bands , if they release more albums after "the priest of satan" they'll definetly become my favorite.
