Last year I had several stomach problems. Although I take 2 different prescribed medicines, I also take one Prilosec every day. I think it works better than the generic presciption of Omeprozale that I used to take. It doesn't work instantly like Pepcid, it isn't supposed to. It prevents your acid pumps from working, Pepcid neutralizes the acid once it's there. It is a great thing for me! And when Amazon has it on sale it's an even better thing :)

As my acid reflux worsened over the years, I made the usual progression from antacid tablets, to Pepcid AC, and eventually to prescription medications like Prevacid and Nexium. Prevacid works great but it still requires a prescription and Nexium caused side effects in me. Once Prilosec was offered over the counter I gave it a try and was very impressed. After a week or two of taking it every day, I was able to decrease the dosage to the point where I only take it as needed now. Once I feel heartburn starting, or I eat something guaranteed to give me heartburn, I just take one of these and its gone in about 30 minutes...and when I say gone I mean gone for 10-12 hours.

I highly recommend this product to anyone who suffers acid reflux or chronic heartburn.

Prilosec works well in preventing heart burn. I eat things now that I could never eat before.

I had been facing heartburn and heavy duty belching for some weeks when I ordered this after my doctor recommended it. It works!

I have been taking Prilosec OTC for quite awhile now. After trying many other products with no results. Prilosec OTC seemed to be the only one that worked and keeps on working around the clock.

Prilosec OTC Is the only Acid Reducer Medicine I buy now and I highly recommend for anyone to give It a shot and see If you don't agree after trying It.

It does state on the box, that the product shouldn't be taken for the required number of days. You can take this product as long as you need to, but consult with your Doctor before you do.

I've learnt this after consulting with my Doctor and he said that I could take this for as long as I needed.

Which I was very pleased, because I couldn't Imagine not being to continue on daily without Prilosec OTC.

Prilosec is a lifesaver. I suffer from Acid reflux and would be miserable without Prilosec OTC. 1 pill a day and no acid reflux. I've also tried the expensive prescription meds like aciphex and This works just as good but alot cheaper. You wont be disappointed if you have Heartburn or Gerd and try this product!!
