The pronunciation CD is very helpful when you're working to properly pronounce Latin from the Prima Latina Workbook. I had 3 years of Latin in jr. high/high school but, it's been 20 years since hs so I really appreciated the refresher. 3.0 out of 5 stars A little twangy
While I appreciate having another person's voice to listen to the pronunciation, the woman's voice has a southern twang that's a bit annoying when you are studying a classical language. If you really can't get the pronunciation from the guides in the books, then use the CD. I happen to think the guide is well explained and thorough.

The pronunciation CD is very helpful when you're working to properly pronounce Latin from the Prima Latina Workbook. I had 3 years of Latin in jr. high/high school but, it's been 20 years since hs so I really appreciated the refresher. Additionally, the pronunciation I used in hs was classical and Prima Latina is ecclesiastical so the CD has helped me to make sure I don't fall back into the classical pronunciation of things, although my kids usually catch my error! :-) I would recommend the CD for anyone who wants to make sure that the pronunciation of the ecclesiastical Latin is correct.
