When it first came and I tried it on my child, but could not hear a thing! Then my five-year old noticed there is a turning switch on the tube part of the head. You just need to turn it on and try it again and then it works great. It should have been marked or provided with instructions.

I am a EMT student, I didn't want to buy a expensive one. This works good enough for me, just doing BP and Breath Sounds. I will probobly get a nicer one when I have to work on real patients. The Construction is a little flimsy... but the scope really does work fine.

I purchased this so I can check heart beat on pets and livestock. When package arrived, I tried it on myself only to discover that I am dead, so then tried it on my children and wife to double check.. I am so disappointed to learn my family is the walking dead.

i bought this to listen for water leaks inside of valves. it works good for me. i can't comment on any other uses, but i assume if you are buying it for medical purposes, you are one cheap ass doctor and need to buy a better one. hopefully at a medical supply store and not amazon. for my use, it works fine.

Great product and quality. Assembly for me took less than 30 seconds and works well and inexpensive. I'm a licensed practical nurse and these work great for the clinical setting with taking quick vital signs and ascultating heart and lung sounds. Just remember to twist the head and you'll be amazed at the quality. Works as well as my $35 pair but without the bulkiness and weight. Felt fine in my ears as wel..

I recd. a first one which did not work. I left a feedback rating this useless. However, immediately Mr.Ben from bpmedicalsupplies contacted me and set me another one promptly. The second one was working perfectly.

I recommend product particularly for the customer service offered.

We bough this because all are children have asthma. We wanted this so we could hear if their was a problem and they were still wheezing when their asthma was at its worse. works great for what we need.

I was worried this would be a bit of a toy, but it is just as good as most hospital grade stethoscopes. Nice colour, good length.

The steth does work if you realize you have to turn the head on it around til it clicks. The drum wont amplify sound very well until you do, then it works great. I bought it just to have around the house and I'm pleased with its result. Had to assemble it myself out of the box, took me about 2 minutes total time from opening it to using it. I'm satisfied with the quality for the price. Once you get it, spin the drum head around a few times and you'll see that it does in fact work fine.

This is an excellent piece of workmanship - very low in price and great for work in the health field for basic heart and lungs sounds. I noticed that it didn't come with instructions, so for all the people who are thinking of buying this - you need to know that you can turn the head (hold tube at base of head, and simply twirl it) to get a better/different sound. To hear very clearly, simply place your finger over the hole on the top of the smaller head. Heart tones, breath sounds come in loud and clear. I am so pleased I found this again. I had an older one (might have even been the same brand) that lasted me for quite a while so was looking for a similar lightweight stethoscope that did not pull on the neck, or whose headpiece is so heavy that it became a burden to carry.

Before I came to Amazon, I had bought 2 other more expensive stethoscopes in the past month, but they were so heavy and unwieldy, and I could not hear from them as well, so went to Amazon and found these. Very strangely enough, for my ears, this cheap one sounds so much better than those other 2 Prestige stethoscopes (the $19.00 ones). Actually, even better than my old vey expensive Littmans.

Also, since the price is so cheap, I will not regret losing it TOO much (like my 2 previous (expensive) Littmans). Well, I suppose we all have different hearing and perceptions of what we hear, so this is my opinion. I do have friends who swear by their Littmans, but for me, this sound is very much clearer.
