4.0 out of 5 stars That song everyone's looking
The song that everyone is looking for, which isn't included in this soundtrack despite the fact it is played twice during the movie, is Canção do Mar(Song of the Sea) by Dulce Pontes.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great! (but where's the track I really want?)
In the movie (within the first 15 minutes), Gere's character, Martin, meets a client in a billiard club. There's a wonderful (Italian?) song playing in the background. Martin comments on how beautiful it is and the mobster gives him a copy of the CD. Why is THAT track not included on this album?! Where can I locate a copy?

3.0 out of 5 stars Canção do Mar - The song to listen....., February 3, 1999
This review is from: Primal Fear (1996 Film) (Audio CD)
The surprise of this movie soundtrack is without a doubt "Canção do Mar" performed by Dulce Pontes. This portuguese song is "FADO" in a new modernized version. Dulce manage to grasp the spirit of an entire country in an almost hypnotic way. This track is a must......

4.0 out of 5 stars That song IS on the CD, November 7, 2004
This review is from: Primal Fear (1996 Film) (Audio CD)
Dulce Pontes' Cancao do Mar is in fact the song some of your are talking about, the one that is played in the Billiards room. Keep listening, the lady starts singing after the intro, which also happens to be played in many other parts of the movie. I'll give it a 4 rating just for this song, it's worth the CD.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth it for that one song, August 10, 2005

If you are haunted by that one song, Cancao Do Mar, performed by Dulce Pontes, and wondering "should I buy this CD?" Yes.

Other versions of that song performed by other artists (like Sarah Brightman), don't begin to capture the power you hear on the soundtrack. It also isn't available from online music sources, like Napster, and I couldn't find it on any Dulce Pontes CD.

So, yes, if you must have that song, this is the place for it. Hit that button.

5.0 out of 5 stars CANCAO DO MAR IS WORTH THE PRICE OF THE CD, April 26, 2007
This review is from: Primal Fear (1996 Film) (Audio CD)
Cancao do Mar (Song of the Sea) by Dulce Pontes is worth the price of the soundtrack, it is a very powerful song. Once in a great while a very powerful voice comes along and mesmerizes everyone. Her voice is beautiful, heavenly and haunting all at the same time, simple gorgeous (ear candy). To find the video of the song go to youtube and type either the singer's name or the name of the song, to find out more on the artist go to amazon and find info with the singer's name.

I ordered the audio track of the film "Primal Fear" just to get the music of Dulce Pontes and that memorable melody called Cansao du Mar. I received it right away and the music I wanted is wonderful. Great service.

Actually that song Cancao do mar is on the sound track. The song that is being played in the billiard hall is not on the soundtrack and I don't know anything about it. Does anyone know anything about it?
