Seattle's Residual Waste,
This review is from: Primal Rock Therapy (Audio CD)
Blood Circus is a frenzy. An absolute frenzy. They share their name with a 1980's wrestling movie and the similarities between the music and the sport are spot on. Blood Circus employs a sound that works within the lines of overtly loud punk rock fused with vocals that barely register on the I.Q. scale. Amidst all it's dumbness, Blood Circus never strikes as being annoying, rather the music leaves inspirational bread crumbs for those seeking the run-off of the grunge scene.
The band was a native by-product of Seattle's rich sespool of a music scene and their creative peak started to dip just before the city was bought up and gift wrapped to the world. The un-marketability factor quickly brushed the few purchased Blood Circus cd's into the bottom of record store bargain bins although the band was an oblivious mentor to well-recieved groups such as Soundgarden and Nirvana - to whom the latter opened up for Blood Circus frequently during the mid to late 1980's. 'Primal Rock Therapy' is an appropriate title for this record. Fitting for the musician in need of guidance who flunked out of business college, decided to become the next Fred "Sonic" Smith and hammered his face against a concrete floor from sniffing too much glue. Not me though, I prefer Cheater Slicks, an art institute, Wayne Kramer, asphault, and paint thinner.

and that why it's great !!!! lines in the cd-booklet says; there are a bunch of you who have scored your soundgarden, mudhoney and nirvana records thinking you have the grunge cred covered. no chance. "primal rock therapy" is the acid test.......
and that's it, anyone who likes green river, go buy this album !
