Editorial Reviews

Review

"This book is so practical and easy-to-use that virtually any teacher can pick it up and say, 'Aha! I can use that!' Each of the twenty-five games is solidly tied to course learning objectives. And busy teachers will love the step-by-step approach-the book gives not only the rationale for using games, but also the guidelines for employing them."
--Barbara J. Millis, director, Faculty Development Center and former assistant dean, faculty development, University of Maryland, University College

"Primary Games is an indispensable resource for any teacher who is interested in trying to enliven subject matter. It is a versatile tool that lends itself to customizing games to fit many learning objectives and numerous grade levels. The games are creative and fun. The book is a must for every school and classroom library."
--Terry Mulligan, 6th grade teacher, Edgecomb Eddy School, Edgecomb, Maryland

"An outstanding resource for any classroom and home school teacher. I highly recommend this book as part of every permanent professional library."
--Peter Gervickas, administrator, Fort River Elementary School, Amherst, Massachusetts

5.0 out of 5 stars Home Schoolers' Delight, April 28, 2002

This review is from: Primary Games: Experiential Learning Activities for Teaching Children K-8 (Paperback)
I picked this book because I thought it might help me home school tutor my son. Boy, was I right!!
This book gives me many delightful ways to tutor my son in any topic. The games are simple to follow and easy to adapt -- if I can adapt them, anyone can. And, my son loves the games. Now, he looks forward to sitting down and learning with me.
I would recommend this book to ANY parent who home schools or tutors on a part-time or full-time basis. Imagine, having a lesson that your child WANTS to sit-down and learn with you!
Thank you, authors.
