I am excited about this new teacher's edition. I looked it over first at the Lost Book Co. website and decided it would make PLL really usable. I had tried to use this little book years ago with my first daughter, but felt it was too light and had to be modified too much. The teacher's edition solves that but adding in extra activities to drive the lesson home along with modifications where necessary while keeping the Charlotte Mason style throughout.

This teacher's guide gives more detail for the lessons in PLL student book. Also, sometimes the language in the student's text is outdated and it is nice to have it explained in this TG.

I really like this book. I am using it with my children for language arts this year. It has a nice mix of exercises in it. I also like that it is not overwhelming. It lends itself well to adapting it to what works for us. Our previous language arts curriculum was overkill. My oldest was burnt out and we needed something different. This has been a nice change of pace for us. I'm very pleased. I also love that it can be used again and again with each child. It's easy on the pocketbook.

This is an amazing language set. My son hated English and writing but since we started this, only two weeks now, he's asking me to keep reading and has written his first poem at 7! And it's GOOD! We'll continue to use for as long we can and supplement with others for what it may lack. I say may lack b/c for most this is plenty but it depends on your style.

I love turn of the century books. This one is a joy to read and teach. Thank you, Emma Serl, for making grammar a pleasure!
