5.0 out of 5 stars Altro disco magnifico di Laura, una donna bella e con talento!!!
This is a must have for any Laura fan. It is one of the most beautifully written and magnificent albums to date from Laura. Her voice shines as usual through the entire album. The first single of the album, "Invece No", is very touching and you can feel Laura pouring her soul into every word and musical note. 3.0 out of 5 stars Can't compare to her earlier work
First let me explain that I absolutely love Laura's earlier albums. Songs like Gente, Non c'e, Le cose che vivi, Strani amori, and my favorite Due innamorati come noi are some of the most beautiful songs ever performed. This album didn't live up to my expectations.

The first single of the album, "Invece No", is very touching and you can feel Laura pouring her soul into every word and musical note. I have to say that my favorite song of the entire album is "Un Fatto Ovvio". This song touches very close to my heart and just makes me shiver hearing her powerful voice gracefully leading and almost directing every instrument. As I said in the title of my review "Another magnificent album from Laura, a beautiful and talented woman".

First let me explain that I absolutely love Laura's earlier albums. Songs like Gente, Non c'e, Le cose che vivi, Strani amori, and my favorite Due innamorati come noi are some of the most beautiful songs ever performed. This album didn't live up to my expectations.

There is one absolute gem buried in here. Bellissimo così is one of Laura's best songs ever. Catchy, vibrant, and almost alive in its passion. It stands out as something completely different that harkens back to Laura's roots.

The solo version of Privavera in anticipo is also a good song with a rhythm that closely matches the pace of the lyrics. The duet with James Blunt doesn't work so well. Maybe if he sang in Italian or she sang in English it would be better, but the combiation of two languages breaks the song into distinct sections rather than a cohesive whole.

I'm torn on how I feel about Invece no. It is an extremely passionate song that allows Laura to show her vocal range. It is also well orchestrated with a string section backing the chorus that enhances the song. It sounds sad and yearning, which is how it is intended to be; however, just for that reason I don't find myself listening to it much.

Unfortunately, forgettable is how I would describe most of the other songs. Almost every song on this album suffers from a very heavy acoustical guitar base that doesn't complement her voice or the lyrics. It is almost as if the guitarist is competing with Laura for dominance of the song.

If you like Laura's earlier work, I recommend listening to all the samples before purchasing this entire album. I pre-ordered this before its relase, but I would have just purchased Bellissimo così and Primavera in anticipo as singles if I had known what the rest of the songs were like.

You can't go wrong buying a Laura Pausini CD. Once again yhis is a great CD with some great musicians and musianship. As a drummer I can really enjoy the drumming of Curt Bisquera.

Great CD. Pausini is great, lyrics easy to understand if you are studying Italian.

Once again Laura has given us a wonderful gift. Every song is beautiful, I can't even pick a favorite - they're all great. Also, the background orchestral music is really exceptional on this cd, I especially like the piano and guitar.

In my opinion Laura gets better with every new release. Don't miss this one. And yeah, she's still yelling at her boyfriend - I love it!

Mi amo molto la musica di Laura :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Anticipation of Spring, January 28, 2009
By

This review is from: Primavera in Anticipo (Italian Version) (Audio CD)
Laura Pausini made a name for herself in the 1990s singing synthesizer-driven ballads. In 2004, she added an edgier, more rock sound to her music. With the release of 2008's "Primavera in Anticipo", Pausini has once again evolved, this time adding lighter piano sounds into the mix. Like its title, it truly is an anticipation of spring.

The songs on this record seem to fall into two distinct categories musically: those that are light, driven by either piano or acoustic guitar, and those that are heavier, slightly darker, and more reminiscent of 2006's 'Spaccacuore' with a driving chorus. The first group includes tracks like 'Mille Braccia', 'La Geografia del Mio Cammino' (a song about personal courage), and the deceptively light 'Invece No', which is actually a painful look at the aftermath of a loved one's death.

Into the driving-chorus type of song are several other tunes: 'Il Mio Benefico', which could easily have fit in on the "Resta in Ascolta" album, 'Bellissimo Cosi' (which sounds slightly dark but is in reality an uplifting song about love), and 'Un Fatto Ovvio', a dark tune that channels Beethoven's 'Moonlight Sonata' as it takes a look at relationships. In addition, title track 'Primavera in Anticipo', featured twice, as an all-Italian song by Pausini and as a duet with English lyrics by James Blunt, has a catchy guitar riff and melody that will have you humming along.

The only complaint I have about this album is similar to that of another reviewer: some of the songs truly do sound a lot alike. While this weaves the album into a cohesive whole, it can be a bit difficult to tell some of the tracks apart, especially if you don't speak Italian.

Overall, "Primavera in Anticipo" lives up to what Pausini's fans had anticipated it would be. Like her other albums, it's a masterpiece that anyone - Italian or not - can enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, Great, Great!, December 16, 2008
This review is from: Primavera in Anticipo (Italian Version) (Audio CD)
This is, no doubt of it, one of the greatest Laura`s Cd`s.
Here you will find great lyrics, soft and powerful music and a voice that shines with or without music1 The duet wit James Blunt, is just a Master piece, as it was said in a critic review written by specialized musicians. You have to have this CD!!! It wll be a big competitor in the next year Latin Grammy Awards.

ENGLISH: I don't know what happened
I'm 19 years old and I've been a Laura Pausini fan since 1994(I was 5)
I have almost all her CDS in Spanish and Italian and obviously some are better than others. The best of all time is Le Cose Che Vivi/Las Cosas que vives.
I was expecting a lot from this CD since Yo Canto/Io Canto, her last Cd wasn't as good as I expected but I think It was because those were old songs renewed with her voice. This Cd has not been a big dissapointment but It has not been as good as I would like it to be and the reason is that the songs are very similar on with another(the melody).
However, Laura has a new classic in his carrier similar to those big classics in 1994 and 1993: Primavera in Anticipo, the song that names the CD is one of the best songs in her carrier, specially the version with James Blunt...
Overall, Good CD but she needs a new air to make different melodies...
HER VOICE... WONDERFUL AS ALWAYS

ESPAÑOL: No sé qué pasó

ITALIANO: Non so cos'è succesa
