5.0 out of 5 stars 3-in-1 March 5, 2013
By Karen
Format:Kindle Edition
It'll be a relief to fans to have all three parts in one complete novel. The cliffhangers in the episodes are tough to survive, especially if you got each one as it came out. The complete novel smoothly transitions from one section to the next, and now we can read the story in its entirety. This was an intense book. Friends were stolen and lives were lost. Some got what they deserved and others were snuffed out too soon. The ending was powerful and left us with a hint at what is to come in book 4, which is sure to be exciting.

Couldn't wait for the final 'chapter'. Thanks, great, great reading. The simplicity of the novel yet intriquing plot is what makes it good reading.

As a retired US Marine, as I read the book, I felt that I could relate to the story line and the activity that was going down. Like others, I found that each episode left me wanting to read the next so as I could quickly see what was going to happen next. I did not want to wait. Of prime interest to me was that the attitudes and beliefs of each character seemed to represent those same attitudes and have the same principles that I feel (after 26 years) that our USMC members, and in particular, USMC retirees have and display to our communities in today's world. Enjoyed the action, bravery, and flexibility presented. Keep up the good work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Prime Asset, C. G. Cooper March 2, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I could hardly wait til this last portion of the book was available. There were times I'm sure I held my breath, waiting for Cal to escape from or somehow kill the grizzly. It was difficult to wait for Neil to be rescued, wondering thru each torture if Cal's guys could possibly make it thru the blizzard in time. Story line was realistic, and I just absolutely could not stop reading despite the late hour, until I knew what was going to happen in the end! clb

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, well-written book! February 21, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
While I'm more of a sci-fi fan, this book has excellently written characters and plenty of action. All of the leaders' decisions are explained and help the reader to understand and appreciate what is going on.
I enjoyed it very much!

1.0 out of 5 stars Filthy Language November 19, 2014
By rvsintx
Format:Kindle Edition
If you don't like filthy language -- this is not the book for you... About the third or fourth page I encountered it and deleted the book from my kindle........ I wish that someone would have mentioned the foul/filthy language in a review - I will not read a book containing that type of language....

Loved the characters. The story moved along at a good pace; I actually read it in one sitting, with only coffee and necessary breaks. Want to read more from this author, C G Cooper. I dont usually read military novels, but I am hooked with Mr. Cooper's characters.

Questions with the author:

Q: How do you come with the ideas for your novels?
A: Two ways: 1) My readers, and 2) current events. My readers want to know how Cal and the gang would handle real world situations. Based on research, reader input and my style, a story is born.

Q: Is there a theme you try to weave throughout the Corps Justice series?
A: I'd say there are a couple things. 1) take care of your comrades, 2) believe in something bigger than yourself, and 3) Semper Fidelis
