I was in the market for a 16 quart stock pot for the purpose of boiling corn and steaming crab legs and other large items. This is a great set you get two very large pans for the price you would normally pay for one.
The bottoms are reinforced, but barely. For the purpose i use these this is not a problem for me.

First, I should note that the service is excellent. Unfortunately, the first set of pot we received was leaking and the replacement set was even worse. They all leak at the handle where it is riveted to the pot. I would not recommend this product. However, I should again re-emphasize that the service was excellent.

I'm very disappointed; when I opened my package I found the stock pots and lids dirty. I intended to wash them before use, but to have to touch them and take them out of the packaging like this was unacceptable.
-There was some kind of dirt stuck on the inside bottom of one stockpot. -The lids were scuffed, dusty, and had greasy hand print looking marks. The outsides and rims of the stockpots resembled this as well. The biggest concern of mine is on one of the lids around the steam hole, the glass has chipped and the chipped piece is just stuck there between the glass and metal of the steam hole. Which I'm sure will come loose as I'm USING the stockpot and contaminate whatever might be in it at the time. The other lid has many chips around the edge, luckily none of those chips have the actual chipped piece of glass stuck there like the other lid does. These were packaged HORRIBLY. They were wrapped in a thin plastic bag. Nothing more. EDIT: I just used the smaller stock pot today, and would like to add that it held up nicely. I used it without the chipped lid. The construction on the stockpot during cooking seems average. I think the price was good for what I got. You really can't beat two stockpots with lids (although chipped) for around $30.
