I read this book in one go on the train from London to Brussels and finished in before we arrived. Once I started I couldn't put it down. The character of DCI Tennyson just leaped off the page. I certainly like Linda LaPlante's crisp way of writing and her strong female characters.

I bought it because of Helen Mirren and came to realize Lynda La Plante is just as good a reason.....
