First bought these as Easter gifts for my nephews since they are egg-shaped. Wanted something a little different for the Easter baskets. The boys loved them. Youngest at 10 months old went CRAZY chasing them around the bath tub. His favorite bath toy by far. The eldest was 4 and he liked them too, but not as much as the baby.

These are rigid plastic. Kids like to throw things. They like to throw these. Their aim is not very good. You have to watch and make sure they aren't going to bean anyone with them. They also aren't going to last very long if they hit the concrete decking very often. There are also holes in the top which causes them to fill with water, but they are small holes, so they don't empty very well. I wasn't very impressed with these as pool toys. They might work better in a tub where throwing wouldn't be as much of a problem. They would still fill with water, however.

they are the simplest toys, however, my two girls (2 yrs; 10 months) love them. they just bob around the pool and the older one swims after them. the 10 month old will just hold onto it as she is playing. they are great, simple toys for them.
