I have had two Mac power cords for a 13'' Pro Mac book that cost about $60 dollars or more, and they lasted about a year. I found this aftermarket power cord on Amazon and the price around 20 dollars-July 2014. It's worth the risk for the price, and to see if another company makes a good replacement power cord. Well, I hooked it up, plugged it in and it works. I noticed that the cord is a little thicker than the standard Mac pwr cord, and I think it's a good thing. It's only been two days, but it appears to work great. I'm happy with the purchase. I'll write another post if any major changes happen.

The cord has a protective sleeve which covers as where it goes into the magnetic plug. It arrived with the sleeve down the cord exposing bare wire. Amazon says they won't replace it because it was defective, not damaged, but will give me credit once returned. That's poor service on top of a defective product.

After I saw how much the power cords from Apple were ($79), I just couldn't fathom spending all that money on a power cord. It was helpful to go to the actual store though and see what I needed. I have a 2008 MacBook, and this model requires a 60W cord. I saw this cord which was exactly what I needed for a whole lot less. I paid extra to have expedited shipping. It works amazingly. It doesn't have the pretty Apple logo on it. Yes, it is a knock off, but who cares. It works.

It's okay, i received it yesterday and it has been a little glitchy. It charges, but randomly will stop charging for a second, then start charging again. Can't really complain as it was only 20 bucks. Should've bitten the bullet and just bought a legitimate replacement.

I got this cord adapter on my last US-trip in July 2014 because my original apple cord gave up after a year or so.
This one I got through E-accentral shipping and it cost $27.98.
Today (after NOT EVEN A MONTH using it!!!!!!!) the cord broke (although I put tape on it to protect it since I KNOW the weak spot out of own experience.....), it not only broke but flashes came out of the gap.
So almost 30 bucks down the drain again....

This product is better than the one that Apple provided with the Macbook. There is only one cord so the weak spot is eliminated. The product arrived sooner than expected and it is so much cheaper than Apple. I strongly recommend this product and this supplier.
