He was able to get up on the toilet by himself so it made him feel like a big boy.

When he takes one hand off the handles to turn around and sit down, the whole thing leans to the side he is still using for support, threatening to flip off.

It's not just the most icredible piece of junk I ever seen, it is the most DANGEROUS piece of junk I ever seen on the market for kids.

The plastic is very thin, very weak and bends every each way. My daughter weighs 35 pounds and the step almost collapsed under her weight. Is SLIDES off the toilet bowl and the seat itself also bends down under the child's weight, which really frightened my girl.

There's no way a child should use it without an adult actually lifting it and putting it on the seat.

I feel soooo stupid to have bought it(((

The Freedom potty trainer looked like such a good idea, but the plastic is very flimsy, and when set in place, it just barely reaches the floor. It's a pretty unstable situation. A separate kids toilet seat and footstool would be far better.

I was a little apprehensive about ordering this product, as I read all of the negative comments. I ordered it anyway, because good comments described the potty as one that would benefit my son. When it arrived (earlier than expected), I noticed that it was easy to assemble, and that because it is not made with very thick plastic, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to order this for BIG children who are potty training. My son is 18 months old, and 22 lbs, and it is perfect for him, sturdy enough for him to climb up and use the potty. He really enjoys climbing up himself, and it does encourage him to be more independent in the process. I let him look at the box, and we talked about how the little girl was going potty, and he liked seeing the little girl on the box :) using the potty, "just like him". So if your child is very big, or potty training at 3+ years, I wouldn't order this, they don't need it. I would just get a stool.

The product is flimsy, the step is too close to the toilet to be practical for a child to step up on, the deflector is not tall enough to deflect any urine, and the seat is too large for a toddler. My child does not feel comfortable using this potty.

I have 4 kids and have went through tons of potty chairs. I find this to be the best potty chair we have found. Not only do no not have to clean little potty pots, but my children (ages 2 and 3) are able to place this on and off the toliet by themselves. They are able to get on and off themselves, and it is very sturdy. Our hall bathroom is very small so this is the perfect solution for sharing a hall bath with their preteen and teen brothers as it lifts off with no effort for the older boys to use the regular potty. It folds small enough to keep between the sink counter and toliet. I have recommended this product to all of my family and friends with children who are being potty trained. I have gotten rid of the potty chairs that go on the floor and put one of these in all 3 of our bathrooms.

What a great idea! My husband loves it as well.

I have a independent child. SHe will not let you help her do anything so when we got the the potty training stage she had to sit on the potty like mommy. She refused to use those little potty chairs also she did not want to be lifted up and she was still to short to get up on her own by a step stool. When I found this product she was estatic. She started the day we got it and fully trained herself by the end of the week. I agree the product if a bit Flimsy and could use another go at it. All in all I do not think my daughter was in any danger using this product though. Before you buy it though make sure you have a round toilet and not an oblong or else yes it will slide around. The manufacture told me this over the phone when I called them about the issues I had read. They said it is not made for every family and I agree you have to try something to see if it will work. Unfortunatly ever child is different and has a mind of there own.

Unstable and flimsy, this piece of plastic nonsense is such a disappointment. it's not sturdy enough to support a toddler. I should have known that at this cheap price that I was going to get junk. You're better off putting a stool on the ground and a seat on the toilet.

I like the way it is set up but I don't like that if you have slippery floors it does not stay planted on the floor it slides on the bottom there is no support on the bottom just plastic so it tends to slide
