Will Primos is onto something making his calls from solid wood. This call creates authentic sounding hen calls with ease. The thumb groove in the side board puts your hand in perfect position to make clucks and excited cutts and the sounds it produces are incredible. I own a few box calls and have tried dozens and the thing that is different about this one is this: there is no searching for a "sweet spot" on the paddle because the whole thing is the sweet spot. The call looks nice, sounds great, handles well, heck, the wood even smells good. I am very impressed!

I'll reserve the final star for after turkey season in May, but this call is very easy to use and makes convincing calls. It also allows you to effectively modulate the volume.**Post Turkey Season Update** I am still very pleased with this call, but it's not getting that 5th star because it's incredibly hard to keep silent. Even with a velcro call silencer, this box makes clucks when you walk through the woods. The only effective way to keep it quiet is to hold it in your hand which makes walking through the woods a bit clumsy.

This box call is great. I like that it has a thumb groove. Other calls don't have this so it is a little harder to cut,or cluck. Not so with this call, you can make some really good calls with this. Out of all the days hunting with this call I had a respopnse. It is definatley worth the money.
