excellent item. pretty quiet while adjusting.. can be used as a walking stick as well.. Will go short enough to use while sitting down in tent or tree stand ... but also tall enough to use while walking on a hillside and shooting up or down the hill. I am 6-1 and this is able to get taller than I could ever need and also shorter than I would ever need as well... great product and easy to use...don't waste your money on any other one!!!!

The stick came apart after 1 month of owning it and being used 4 times. It was a fairly easy repair but should not have happened. Primos does stand behind their products but their quality control needs to be better.

The design and usefulness of the stick is the best on the market and easy to use as a shooting/walking stick, easily adjustable.

This product, which I purchased from Amazon, works as advertised. It is a very stable rest, except for slight movement from side to side, a fact of life for a monopod. I own two bipods, which are more stable, but this is faster to get on target. My only complaint is that Primos slaps on a big bright shiney green sticker that is practically welded to the pod! It sounds like a small matter, but just wait til you try to get it off! Say half an hour with a hair dryer heating it and peeling it off with your fingernails, then 15 minutes soaking off the remainder of the glue with citris oil. I managed to finally get it all off without damaging the monopod finish, but unbelievable how difficult it was to remove. The other two small stickers were easy to remove with a little heat from the hair dryer. One may be ahead to just wrap the big green sticker with camo tape. I'd rate it 5 stars without this problem.

I bought this stick just before deer rifle hunt this year. I was looking for something that I could throw down somewhat quick, and this stick is it!! As I was standing on my ridge first thing in the morning, I had a 205" 5 x 6 Mule Deer run up the draw. All I had to do is pull the trigger throw my gun on it and Kabam. The steady shot helped me get the biggest buck in the region. Awesome, Awesome. I use it for coyote hunting also. I would recommend this stick to anyone that wants help with a steady shot.

Okay, this product is a 5 star. It really is a 5 star, adjusts great, trigger action makes it fast and smooth. Really just a nice addition to the hunting trip.

But...

This item does not ship to Alaska through Amazon, I can go straight to the Primos site and ship here, but not Amazon. Why? Really what is the difference? This is the only item I have ever wanted on Amazon that does not ship to Alaska.

I know you are not supposed to use this as a walking stick, but this thing saved me a few times on my last hunt. Made it so much easier to walk on a side hill looking for deer. Great product Very sturdy, Liked it so much got a second one for my Dad.

Works like the product describes and is very useful in a tree stand that has no shooting rails. I would recommend to others to purchase !

Very sturdy construction. Easy to use. Great multi-use tool for my upcoming moose hunting trip. Easy to store and carry.

although it looks a bit more deerstalker rather than standard camera black, it is an ideal choice as a camera monopod. nifty quick release and sturdy build for a fraction of price of camera competitor makes. highly recomended.

I bought the "Primos Trigger Stick Tall Mono Pod" in order to replace my existing shooting stick. I have been hunting with a a shooting stick of a different brand that is of a much simpler and cheaper design (3 segments and 3 locking clasps) and the stick tends to contract into itself due to the weight of my rifles. This "Primos Trigger Stick Tall Mono Pod" wins out over my other shooting stick hands down. The "Primos Trigger Stick Tall Mono Pod" has yet to slip and contract into itself even with my attempts to force it to.

For the "Primos Trigger Stick Tall Mono Pod" I paid about $14 more ($44 total) compared to my old shooting stick ($30 and no brand on the product, figures). I can tell you this. I wish I would have spent the money on the "Primos Trigger Stick Tall Mono Pod" stick early on because a cheaper stick that does not stand up is of no use and does not put meat in the freezer.

I am 6 foot 1 inch and the stick works great for me both standing and sitting and has no issues supporting my heavy Mosin Nagant which is over 8 pounds. I do not find the stick to be heavy or cumbersome for carrying.
