Prince Charming Lives! is a VERY helpful book-and not just because it can guide any woman, or man, in finding or improving a relationship. It accomplishes those goals with flying colors. What it also does, however, is gently nudge the reader into understanding life better.

Dr. Light points out right away that her advice applies to men as much as it does to women. For example, she says women can't expect to find Prince Charming unless they become Princess Charming. In other words, if we don't have the right stuff already in us, we won't likely have relationships with others who have ideal qualities. This is an idea that is definitely not gender-specific.

Another universal truth she passes on has to do with who we blame for the negative circumstances in our lives. "The degree to which you are willing to accept responsibility for your life is the degree to which you have the power to make changes." She adds later: ". . . the greater truth is . . . you have come here to heal yourself and to learn what an incredibly loving, capable, and powerful Being you really are. Everything and everyone you attract into your life ultimately serves this purpose."

Prince Charming Lives! says we can all be successful-if we try hard enough. It also tells us how to do it. The book is packed with practical examples from the author's personal life and anecdotes from the past 25 years as a professional teacher, counselor, and researcher in the personal growth/self-help field. Dr. Light shares many well-known but important truths about living a successful life. (For example, we need to let go of our attachment to outcomes and be grateful for everything that happens to us no matter how unpleasant it may appear on the surface.) She also describes several unique strategies.

One of these-calculating compatibility scores-helps us to find out if our energies blend well with those of our partner and to pinpoint areas where we can improve ourselves and enhance our relationship. She also describes meditation, visualization, and other techniques to access "invisible helpers," reduce stress, reprogram negative beliefs, and release suppressed feelings.

We get an idea of the scope of the author's vision for transforming ourselves by reading her definition of the "ultimate relationship." In it, she says, "my partner and I would experience both unconditional love for each other and total freedom to be ourselves. We would not be needy or dependent on one another to feel happy. Feeling whole and complete within ourselves, we would come together to share our love and enjoyment of life."

Those of us who have tried to make relationships work would likely agree that Dr. Light's definition sets a high standard. Her book, and a number of additional resources she offers through the mail, should help many people make the goal more reachable.

As a Life Coach I am always looking for written materials that are easy to understand, easy to apply, motivational and inspirational. This book meets all those requirements.

The title is misleading in that the book offers so much MORE than just finding the love of your life. The author makes it clear that our first responsibility is to ourselves, getting to know ourselves, and loving ourselves. The more that we expand our "being", the more whole we are as a person, the more we will strengthen our "attraction" ability to attract into our lives the same, healthy, whole, loving people - including the love of our life.Sometimes we are already in relationships, perhaps not as loving and compatible as we would like! The author helps us to understand the compatibility of the relationship and how and what we can do to increase our compatability - if that is what we choose to do.

The book is a gift to me in preparing me to move to the next level of my own personal empowerment and life enrichment, and a wonderful guide to anyone who is on, or wants to get on their path to a more rewarding life.

I am recommending this book to all my friends, children, and clients!

I highly recommend this book to everyone who is out there searching for a relationship and feeling totally frustrated. This book will ease your mind and make you feel so much better! After reading scores of relationship books in which they all basically say the same thing (go out and look) this book tells you to relax and work on your interior self so that you can find the love that you need. It really made me feel so much more relaxed about the whole process.
