Fun Things to Know and Tell...,

This review is from: Prince Edward Island Book of Everything (Paperback)
The "Prince Edward Island Book of Everything" is jam-packed with fun facts and stories to know and tell about one of Canada's great vacation destinations. In a series of entertaining chapters, a collection of authors tag-team topics such as the island's history, natural beauty, distinctive slang, weather, politics, and unique features, including its association with Lucy Maud Montgomery and her fictional creation "Anne of Green Gables." The book as a whole provides a nice synopsis of the flavor of a fascinating place and its inhabitants. The results may surprise even people who are already familiar with Prince Edward Island.
However, the PEI "Book of Everything" is not a conventional tourist guidebook. It does not address practical details such as accomodations, travel to and from, or even include a map of the island. Its best use may be in conjunction with any of several very adequate guide books put out by other publishers.
