Editorial Reviews

Bay Area rapper Ray Luv debuted in 1989 with the album "Who Can Be Trusted?". Aside from a handful of compilation tracks & cameo appearances, he was silent before resurfacing on Atlantic in 1995 with "Forever Hustlin'," followed in '99 by "Coup D' Etat." Ray Luv is featured in the new Tupac Shakur documentary/soundtrack "Thug Angel - The Life Of An Outlaw". Ray's hard hittin' new album features platinum producers Femi Ojetunde & Mike Moseley, as well as MACK. Guests include Mac Mall, Aaron Hall, Tha Outlawz & Ant D.O.G.

The return of the Santa Rosa game spitta, was one worth waiting for. When listening to it the first time I was little disappointed, but it really grew on me the second or third time. Ray has certainly elevated the his style, and comes with alot of fresh spaghetti rhymes."This game wuz made 4 us" "Do me" "wit it" "dead homies" and "The day the world ended" are probably the best tracks on the album, and theres two cuts you will wanna skip. This album is better then "Coup D'etat" but still lacks a bit when compared with the classic "Forever Hustlin". The production is good (above avarage), but I'm still waiting for Ray to hook back up with khayree, cuz Khayree's funk combined with Ray's elevated style will certainly give a classic that will shake the Bay once agian!!!
