when i first started reading this book, i thought it was a bit like a fictional story. many of the things left me thinking 'you can't possibly know that'. i just couldn't seem to jet terribly involved until the prince of wales was brought in. after that point, it became a rather pleasant read that i couldn't put down.i found myself quite disillusioned--she was not the angel i always imagined her to be. at the same time, had she been said perfect angel, she would have never gained the fame and popularity she did. overall, i would recommend it to anyone interested in her and her life.

Loved this captivating book and enjoyed every page. Lily's story was well written with just enough facts to tie into the period. I really enjoyed the history surrounding her life.
