Mosquitos-B-Gone
I used the Love Bug at a family get-together. While the mosquitos weren't as heavy as I've seen them in past years, it did seem to work. Everyone had to find out what that cute bug we had was and what it did. I would recommend the Love Bug for an easy, non-messy way to repel mosquitos.

Fails when put to the ultimate test...
We took this on vacation to Minnesota (where they joke that the state bird is a mosquito) and were disappointed to find that it didn't work. During the day, when the bugs aren't as plentiful, it seemed to work, but in the evening, it made no difference. The concept is great, but unfortunately, it couldn't perform...

I bought a Love Bug Repeller to clip onto
my Chihuahuas car seat. I started to warm up my car and remembered I'd forgotten something, so I went back inside ... a couple of minutes later I returned. Above my car were around 10 Dragonflies. Which are not very common in my area of CA. Not sure I've ever seen them ... So I shut off the Love Bug Repeller and waited a while for the Dragonflies to disperse. Then I turned it back on and the returned. I'm not sure if the Love Bug actually repels Mosquitos ... but it attracts Dragonflies, who kill Mosquitos, and that's good enough for me!

Don't waste your money.,

This particular product was mentioned on the local news in my area. Their fact based review on the "Love Bug" was that there is no scientific evidence to support the theory of why this product will work. On a side note: there are people attempting to get this and other products that claim to do the same thing off the market to save consumers from wasting their money on products that make claims which they can't hope to live up to.I hope this helps. (I wouldn't have even given it a star, except amazon doesn't have negative values) |
