I researched this bear before purchasing it. It is the only one I'm aware of that has a real recording that was made inside a mother's womb. This bear was developed by a doctor and is used by many hospitals. (...) The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it's on a timer so you cannot turn it on and have it play continuously. The timer helps to conserve batteries so it's probably best that it's set up that way. The audio will play again when the bear is touched/moved or when the baby cries.

The bear is cute, cuddly and very soft. It has velcro on it's hands so it can attach to the crib railing. The audio box is removable and has velcro so you can attach it directly to your stroller, etc. without having to take the whole bear with you. You also have the option to adjust the volume. I've compared it with other like products and you can tell a difference in the sound quality.

Overall, I highly recommend this bear!

I thought I would give this bear a try and have found that it was one of the best purchases I made! My son calms down as soon as he hears the heartbeat and often turns his head to look at it. Since it is a small stuffed animal it is easy to travel with, so he has it wherever he goes. The only complaint I have is that the sound doesn't last longer. The sound sometimes quits before he is sleeping, causing him to fuss and mom to get up and start the bear.

I used this product with my second child and was extremely impressed with the results. The Original Slumber Bear was recommended to me by several mother's who also love the product. I have also learned that this product is endorsed by Midwivesonline.com. Great buy!

I think I pulled this out the second day that we had our daughter home and put it in the crib with her while I was doing laundry. She loved it. She sleeps with us at night in a co-sleeper, so this bear is attached to our headboard. He is right above my head and I just reach up and hit him at night when we go to bed or in the middle of the night, if she is a little fussy. Normally, she will settle right down as soon as she hears him. I think he has some sort of sensor in him, because sometimes he comes on without touching him. I don't know if it is similar to the clapper or what. I threw out the directions and the box for him, once I figured out where the batteries went. Anyway, she loves him and he really seems to sooth her.

We bought this bear for our daughter when she was about one month old because she would not sleep in her crib for more than an hour at a time. As soon as we turned it on she started to doze off. She is now 4 months old and we still use it. She loves it and looks for it before she goes to bed. The down side is that you will go through a ton of batteries but its worth it for her to get a good nights sleep (and us too!).

I bought the slumber bear for my 7 weeks old baby hoping it would calm her down when she cries, but it didn't work. She cries even louder when she heard the noise. I was very disappointed.

I bought this for my one monthe old, thinking it would put her to sleep. It really did nothing to help her go to sleep. In fact, she cried so loud and got so upset that she couldn't even hear the bear. I will give it to a friend, and maybe it will work for her baby.
