He was too strong and able to manipulate the chair too much.

The leg openings are bigger then the Bumbos so the Bebe pod is better for those cute chunkier babies with chubby thighs.

She's now over 5 months old, and it's been working out great.

I bought this for my baby girl to sit in when she was getting close to outgrowing the bouncy seat. I decided to buy this instead of the Bumbo because some reviews I read seemed to imply that the Bumbo had tighter leg openings so bigger babies would outgrown it.

I'm so glad I bought the bebePod because that was totally true. My daughter was 17lbs at 4 months, and the Bumbo we borrowed was pretty tight. Squeezing her in there was getting difficult and was also shifting her diaper, resulting in a lot of unpleasant blowouts. The bebePod fit her perfectly, with some room to spare. We hope to use it up through 6 months at least, or whenever she decides she doesn't want to sit still anymore.

That said, when she was smaller, the bebePod was too big - she'd lean over to one side and we had to prop her up with a blanket. If you have a smaller baby, the Bumbo might be a better option - it's a tighter fit, so supports the baby better on the sides.

I like the safety belt in the bebePod (the Bumbo doesn't have one) and the combination of bebePod + plain tray is cheaper than the Bumbo and its tray. However, I think the Bumbo might have better resale value since it's more popular.

I bought this seat for my 3month old, and my mom was skeptical as she's so young. All it took was a receiving blanklet around her (she is 13lbs and 25in tall) and she was able to sit up perfectly. She loves sitting in this and playing with her toys. There is a smell when its right out pf the box, but I find it quite pleasant. It smells just like diaper rash cream. I have friends who have the Bumbo seat, and it seems like this one accomodates a wider range of sizes and also has better back support.

I love this seat. I put my daughter in it and placed it on the table in front of me and she just lit up with delight. It was as if she felt we were having a real conversation - eye to eye instead of in the bouncy seat or swing where she reclines so much. The material it is made of is quite nice. I looked also at the Bumbo brand and am glad I purchased this one. The plastic/rubber whatever it's made of is softer and just nicer. The white 'handle' part comes off and goes on easily. It feels sturdy and does not look like she will be able to tip over in it.

**Note - the instructions and common sense both say not to put the seat on a raised surface. When I put her in the seat on the table as I mentioned before I was sitting right there the whole time. The seat doesn't seem like it would slip or be easily pushed off the edge by Baby, but better safe than sorry.

We bought this chair for our 7.5 month old daughter when she was 4 months and we got a lot of use out of it until this week. If not buckled in, she can easily twist out of the chair. When buckled, she tips the whole chair over with herself in it. it is worthless now, and more importantly - dangerous.
I also got the tray which we are not happy with. The place mat does not stay in place and food gets in the slots where the toy would go.

I started using this after my baby outgrew the swing. It took a minute for him to get use to it, but now he sits in it like a champion. I love it and the fact that I can add on to it and it comes with a seatbelt.

I really like this seat for my 4 1/2-month old. She seems to enjoy the different perspective that sitting up gives her. I also like that there is a strap to hold her in. She's about 14 pounds and has plenty of room to grow. My only complaint, similar to others, is the very strong smell that the chair has out of the box. I've had it for about a month now, and the smell is dissipating, but isn't gone.

I got this for my daughter when she was just starting to sit up, but couldn't do it on her own. She was only happy when sitting and this chair made it possible for her. I did notice the smell other reviewers mentioned, but it didn't bother me very much. Honestly, the smell reminds me of how a package of disposable diapers smells. And it definitely didn't bother my baby.

The only thing I would mention is that the cover that comes with the tray is pretty much useless. There's no way to keep it on, so it just slides around when she grabs at it.

My child likes this chair, even if she spends half her time stretched over it trying to pick up toys she's dropped on the ground. Very fun if you get the tray to attach as it is great for babies to bang things or pick up things on.

My baby is four months old and she disliked laying on the ground for too long and so this chair was a great solution for her as she could sit up supported and see the world.

I like the material, too. Wish you could put it in the bath, though, because then it would be all around versatile!
