It is very easy to clean.
Lmgator
It has a few suction cups underneath that keep it from sliding around, and it really does hold it securely in place.

I might have to buy one more.

My wife and I are the proud owners of 4 of these puppies. Now we don't have to worry about our kids falling in the toilet butt first and getting flushed down the toilet. It is every overprotective parent's worst fear, next to kids falling off bikes without helmets or being unreachable by cell phone. BUT I DIGRESS!

So, I was doing my usual Amazon comparison shopping on my iPhone while shopping at major brick-and-mortar retailers when I stumbled upon this great find. It was on the shelf at this particular retailer, and the Amazon review told me that I had found a winner. Elated (as elated as you can be about a toilet seat for training a toddler), I bought 4 of them. Yes, that's one for each toilet in the house. I was most concerned about the new oval/elongated toilet in our downstairs bathroom. Our old round toilet broke, and the plumber recommended an elongated toilet for reasons I cannot repeat in an Amazon review. BUT I DIGRESS AGAIN. Anyway, I wasn't sure this seat would work well for all of our toilets. As you might guess from my 5-star review, it works PERFECTLY! Like a poopy in the toilet, not in the underpants, this is cause for celebration. Seriously, though, this seat is a real winner on multiple fronts:

+ Simple, Dummy-Proof: Just put it on the toilet!

+ Soft/Comfortable: They should make real toilet seats out of this stuff. Very nice! If only my butt were small enough!

+ Easy to Clean: Just wipe away. No small crevices or other tough-to-clean areas.

+ Universal Fit: Fits our round AND oval/elongated toilets.

+ Space Efficient: Stands on end beside the toilet when not in use. Very cool.

+ Integrated Splash Guard: Works great for our little guy's little guy, if you know what I mean.

UPDATE: I loved this seat for the 2-3 months it lasted before cracking. Both the blue and gray cracked and my son said they were "biting his butt". He's a really small kid, maybe 25 pounds at the time, so it wasn't a weight thing. I have fixed the seat many times with super glue, because it is otherwise perfect. More and more cracks have appeared and I'm ready to throw in the towel. We bought a Baby Bjorn and although that one is hard it holds up over time. I also bought the more expensive version of the weePOD seat and it seems like it will hold up better, but it is really hard for my son to get on the toilet himself because it is such a snug fit. He won't even use it, sigh.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is the best toilet topper seat I have ever found, and I've seen them all working as a nanny for 10+ years! I was about to buy the Bjorn toilet trainer or the expensive WeePod when I came across this at Target for less than half the price of either of those seats (it's thirteen dollars there). It's soft without having annoying crevices that you can't clean, and it doesn't slide all over the place on the toilet while still being easy to remove. My petite 19 month old feels very secure on it since the hole isn't giant, and it doesn't leave indentation marks on him like the other soft seats do from the interior plastic rim that those seats have. I highly recommend this! Now I can get one for both bathrooms without breaking the bank.

I would give it zero star but in comfort it gained 2 stars. DO NOT Purchase this item because it cracks on the sides after only light use and within 30 days. I ordered a replacement after this happened and am writing this review because the cracks occurred in the same places on the new one.

I have done elimination communication with 3 kids and am expecting a 4th, so a good potty seat is a necessity in my house. We've been through just about every potty seat on the market, and I was beginning to think I'd never find a decent one. I'm SO happy I spotted this one!

Easy to clean up:
A good potty seat should *NOT* have cracks and crevices that liquids can get into, especially if I can't get a sponge or clorox wipe in there to clean it out. Nor should it be porous or absorbent. (ewwwww) This is where 99% of the seats on the market are a major fail. Eventually, no matter how you try to wipe it out, pee is going to run into the cracks and build up, germs will grow, and it *will* start to stink. I am happy to say that the weePOD has absolutely no crevices where liquids will run during normal use. It's made in one piece and even when used by a little boy, the pee just hits the shield and runs straight down into the toilet. The weePOD is made of some type of firm foam, but it has a smooth, coated surface (on the top side only) that wipes clean rather than absorbing liquid like other seats I've bought in the past. I'm thinking that, should any type of disaster ever occur (sometimes my husband will leave the seat up and my LO tries to put the potty seat on the rim, then it falls in) I can just soak it in vinegar or a mild cleaning solution and it will be fine.

Built in deflector shield:
My youngest son isn't big enough to stand to pee, and even though he knows to aim it south, a good deflector is still a must. As stated above, it does what it's supposed to do, keep pee from being sprayed on your floor while not collecting it in the potty seat either.
