I had only ever played the first 3D Prince of Persia on the PS2. But this trilogy is awesome and still works in Windows 7 x64. Even in widescreen with widescreen hacks.
I also played these games using the XBOX 360 controller. The first had some issues with the analog controller (walking when I wanted to run) but it was not too bad and I was able to compensate.

It's a good deal if you haven't played the games before. I didn't bother with the first game, since I've played it on the xbox. I had installed the latter two games on pc (windows 7 64bit). However, I had to turn off the fog option in the graphics setting for the second game to play. Also, for the second game, I used a keyboard/controller mapper to use my 360 controller, but the third game supported the controller.

Great Trilogy,

The Sands of Time trilogy is an excellent set of games. Between all the stunts, combat mechanics, and puzzles you have to solve, there's a great balance between using your brain and slashing your way through oppponents. As far as story goes, the overall story is pretty good, though the feel in the first game was infinately better than the feel in the other two.
Personally, I like where the new Prince of Persia series is going, that first game has an even better "storybook" feel to it than the Sands of Time. Of course, that series is less combat intensive than this one. If you want more combat-oriented action, this is the way to go
