Both of my kids (a boy and a girl) got toilet trained thanks to this book!,
This review is from: The Prince and the Potty (Hardcover)
I bought this book for my son 6 years ago when I tried to toilet train him. He loved having me reading the story to him when I sat him down on the toilet waiting for the "magic moment" to happen. After he was toilet trained he still liked me reading this story to him from time to time. 5 years fast forward and my daughter than was ready to be toilet trained. I doubted that she would relate to this book because it talks about a prince being toilet trained, not a princess. I was prepared to buy the princess version of this book for her too, but then after I read the story to her the first time, she fell in love with the book an asked my husband and I read the story to her again and again! My husband swears that my daughter got trained because she likes the story so much...now my daughter is fully toilet trained but still loves reading the story at least once every week! I think this book is gonna stay in my home forever just as a momento to both of my kids about their milestones in early lives! :)

My son loves it,
This review is from: The Prince and the Potty (Hardcover)
It has been my son's favorite book since past few months. He is 26 months. He is really inspired by the story and the characters. I believe this book has helped a lot in motivating him for potty training. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone.

Even though this book was cute to read I found it dragged, bland and boring. If you want a book that is for child of `potty training' age that is combine with `house breaking' the new puppy then might I suggest, "The Piddle and Piles Series: NOT IN THE HOUSE!" by Peyton Wolfe. It is absolutely awesome!!! The illustrations are fantastic, but the story just blows you away. (Especially for a children's book.) She combines the two together with story, illustrations and song. My two kids loved it! When I started to go through the potty training with my first child my husband and I thought it would be a great idea to get a puppy so that they could grow up together. We have tried my books, but should have bought this one only and saved a ton of money of not buying the rest. It is entertaining and helps our kids become a part of the training process of our family dog. The book help them understand that through pictures, song and story that they have responsibilities to take care of themselves, but to also take care of your pet.
So, to everybody - I wouldn't really buy this book, but if I was you - I WOULD BUY THE OTHER >>>>> "The Piddle and Piles Series: NOT IN THE HOUSE!" by Peyton Wolfe. It really helped me and my husband through it. |
