Uh..ok.... I dont usually write reviews but after reading that one star review that this guy posted on here that reads more like something from Wine Spectator than a tennis shoe review I just had to put this out there. This shoe is the ONLY shoe I will ever wear. Trust me I have tried them all. I have been playing tennis for 20 years, am a 5.0 player and put my tennis footwear to the test every time I step on the court. The Prince Scream3 mid feels broken-in from the minute you put it on and only gets better as you wear it. Does it last forever? No of course not. If your tennis shoes last more than 6 months either you are not playing enough tennis or you dont play hard enough for it to matter what shoe you wear. Much like a high performance tire this shoe will wear out faster than you might expect but that just means it is doing its job. Simple physics, softer rubber=more grip=faster wear. IMHO there is no better shoe on the market and I hope they never stop making them.

The Prince Men's Scream 3 Mid Tennis Shoe is a well made and well designed mid top tennis shoe.

The shoe requires virtually no break in and forms to the feet quickly. It is made of very durable and high quality materials; synthetic leather and mesh.

The front area of the shoe is re-enforced and well constructed. The rubber sole is also well constructed and has a six month wear guarantee. The shoe has a shock eraser and arch bridge and on the side of the shoe is a stitched on appearing re-enforced lace that may provide additional side support.

The inside of the shoe is well padded, the padded mesh tongue and mid collar are of very good construction and comfortable. The mesh tongue is held in place by light weight mesh on both sides of the shoe.

Prince built a quality shoe with many features. When I first wore the shoes they seemed slightly heavy compared with the low below ankle light weight tennis shoes I had before.

However, the stability and durability the Price Scream 3 Mid provide is well worth the nominal weight increase.

The shoe provides stability when playing and the durabilty of the materials and the sole have been very noticable.

For tennis players that want a top line mid top tennis shoe that is well built, this may be a shoe worth examining.

This shoe provides excellent support but was not comfortable "out of the box" but, after 4 wears, they settled in...although I am consicous of the heel insert piece bumping up on my ankle bone and the shoe seemed a little short for size.

Good Performance Tennis Shoe. Provides good stability and excellent comfort. If you have a wide foot this is the shoe for you.

On my first inspection of Scream3 I was immediately pleased with a rather silently innovative style item on the design of the upper of the shoe: I mean the blue lace going meanderingly through some beautifully simple slits all the way from one side and, then detouring the back, finish at the other side of the shoe. The out sole looks quite good, though not extra-ordinary. I am quite happy with the feel of the heel and inner cushion. But I have one dismay and one concern: within a few weeks of use the shoe's upper towards the toe has started to show too incrementally very noticeable and distinct crinkles for my comfort; secondly, at least what I have seen from my first look of the special finish that has been done for the shoe upper at the extreme front of the toe, I can vouch for a fact from my experience of similar finish in two ADIDAS models that I had once used in the course of the relatively long 20-year history of my use of LOTTO, ADIDAS and REEBOK models that the portion of the shoe upper with this finish tends to wear out very easily. I least bargained for my chosen shoe to sport this finish.

And as I sit down to edit my last review above which is hardly a few months vintage, I feel impelled to put on record that my worst fears expressed above about the finish and the material used for the shoe upper in the area circling the front of the toe has indeed come true within a few months' of light use of the shoe: the material in the referred area has started showing distinct signs of cracking and chipping incrementally . Prince should thank Amazon that they do not include a feature in their review service for a graphic attachment of the delinquent shoe in question to be uploaded by the customer! I sorely regret buying a Prince product.
And, after writing my last review around more than a month back, I am here again within the space of just 9 (nine) months of purchase and light use of the product, with reports of still more damaging reasons that have surfaced for this pair of shoes as well as Prince.com itself to be administered the most decisive thumbs-down: the shoe's Upper towards the toe-end as well as the sides is now showing gaping cracks indicating strong probability that the product will not survive another 3 (three) months of use.
