5.0 out of 5 stars The Long Way Home, July 26, 2007
This review is from: Prince Valiant, Vol. 21: Prisoner of the Khan (Paperback)
The Roman Empire is falling. African corsairs have closed the straights of Gibralter and barbarian tribes are crossing the Empire's northern borders. Prince Valiant and family are in the Misty Islands and want to return home to Thule. The best way to return is to head east to the Black Sea and then up the Dnieper river to the Baltic Sea. Along the way, Val and his family must pass through Byzantinum and Kiev as well as do battle with the nomads who control the steppe. Once again, this book is Hal Foster at his best. Beautiful illustrations combined with a well thought out plot.
