This review is from: The Prince's Forbidden Virgin (Harlequin Presents) (Mass Market Paperback)
I actually enjoyed the Niroli series, but this book was especially good. Princess Rose is a very intelligent (and beautiful) scientist who enjoys living away from Niroli and the royal life. Prince Max, on the other hand, seems groomed to become the next king of Niroli (after significant drop-outs from the other members). He would be perfect if it weren't for his attraction to Rose, his cousin. Now, I normally balk at romances between family members (although this does seem to be quite prevalent in historical romances), I read it anyway. There were a lot of twists and turns, so I don't want to give anything away.
Max and Rose both fought their attractions to each other, but naturally (it is a romance novel), they gave into their passions. It is really sweet how much Max cares for Rose and really wants to see her happy. I would recommend it :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Sad but endearing, December 28, 2011

Forbidden romance is always the sweetest! I liked both characters as individuals and in there relationship. Sad but endearing... just when i thought there was no way that they could be together Ms. Donald made it possible.

It's refreshing to see the innocent virgin has a mind of her own. They fight what's between them because they cannot possibly give in, as they are cousins. When it's revealed that they aren't, they proceed to have hot sex. They're in love and Rosa saves the vines, which are the lifeblood of the island. I thought the end was really good and this book definitely lives up to all of Robyn Donald's other work.
