An Honest Review from a Christian Perspective, January 19, 2012
This review is from: Princess Bible: Pink - International Children's Bible (Compact Kids) (Imitation Leather)
I bought this Bible for my wife - hoping that it would make her feel like a princess. Then I remembered Colossians 3 "Wives submit to your husbands." I have no intention of letting her feel even remotely equal to me, so I returned the bible and bought myself a pair of sweat pants with the money. The product description says this Bible is meant for little girls - but I won't allow my daughter to learn to read because of Corinthians 14 "Women should remain silent...and are not allowed to speak." Since I want to keep my daughter submissive - filling her head with ideas and educating her will inevitably give her opinions that no one really cares about. That is why I am giving this product a one-star rating. I understand a company making a Bible geared towards men - since males have been made in the image of God - but who would want to make a Bible for women? Everyone knows that females are basically just a spare rib taken from Adam in the Garden of Eden. Speaking of ribs - I think I smell my wife burning dinner in the kitchen right now.

Not Every Child is a Princess!, January 23, 2012
This review is from: Princess Bible: Pink - International Children's Bible (Compact Kids) (Imitation Leather)
My husband more "tolerant" sister bought this for our 8 year old SON! After we've repeatedly asked the family not to indulge his feminine tendencies and to encourage masculine behaviors. It's hard enough trying to raise boys properly in this political correct gender neutral age. Hopefully the stories inside of killing, subjugation of women and slave treatment will inspire him to be a respectable community leader. I plan to point him to Leviticus until he memorizes the whole thing: not to lay with a man, cut his hair, clothing materials. We set the standards! If I had a daughter I might like this, as princesses promote delicacy and dependence, very attractive for finding a good husband.

Who am I; Jesus?, January 23, 2012
This review is from: Princess Bible: Pink - International Children's Bible (Compact Kids) (Imitation Leather)
When I saw the "good book" outfitted to look like sick from the liberal gay agenda, I was appalled. Upon closer inspection I realized this hot pink and jewel encrusted Bible was made for the princesses in our lives. Being a family man myself and a devout Christian I could not pass up the opportunity to buy each of my little girls a copy, and even decided to pick one up for my ex-wife; I felt that after three affairs maybe a healthy dose of God's wrath would do her some good. I know she's a good person who has simply been taken in by Satan's tango, but if I force the Bible on her like I'm supposed to as a good Christian she'll have no excuse. Upon getting the Bibles in the mail I was overjoyed by them. They're perfect! The pink and sparkles instantly captivated my girls into thinking they were getting new fairy tales. And they're right! While I don't necessarily agree with children's Bibles since it doesn't strike fear into the hearts of man and show the merciless nature of God, I do believe they are a nice segue for my little princesses. Already they're clamoring for more stories. Thank god this Bible exists because I fear the atheist communist liberal Nobama campaign is corrupting our youth. I had no idea what my little muffins were learning in school until, when I read them Noah's Ark, they began asking about dinosaurs! Can you believe it? I promptly called the school district and informed them that they needed to pick up a Bible because there were no dinosaurs. Scientists have proven time and again that the fossils aren't as old as the ZOG (zion occupied government) wants us to believe and the majority of them are fake. If it hadn't been for allowing me to show my girls how to think before they could develop ideas of their own, they may have become textbook reading, documentary watching, science loving, atheists! But not anymore, I have deeply instilled the fear of God in them through this glamorized Bible. Never again will they question me or their religion. THANKS!

How to enslave your princess, January 23, 2012
This review is from: Princess Bible: Pink - International Children's Bible (Compact Kids) (Imitation Leather)
"When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment." (Exodus 21:7-11) I don't want my princess to grow up believing in Liberal agenda women's rights hippie nonsense. In my house we serve the Lord, and our daughters serve the men. This book is an excellent reminder of God's might and power that Christians so often forget. Only gave it 1 star because of the dangerously contradictory tone of the second half.

Scary, January 23, 2012
This review is from: Princess Bible: Pink - International Children's Bible (Compact Kids) (Imitation Leather)
I bought this pretty pink bible for my daughter because she wanted to learn the word of God.
As soon as she opened it, though, all of these contradictions poured out onto the floor.
We immediately returned it.

My daughter loves it, January 23, 2012
This review is from: Princess Bible: Pink - International Children's Bible (Compact Kids) (Imitation Leather)
My little girl loves all the horrific stories of genocide and rape in this quaint little bible! Deuteronomy 20:10-14 is her favorite. My little Princess likes to pretend that she is sending off her army to enslave nearby Kingdoms. Romans 1:27 also shows her that the natural use of a woman is for sexual pleasure, a lesson she can't learn quick enough. I am planning on selling her soon (Exodus 21:7). That info will serve her well! I hope your little Princess enjoys it, too.

No Jesus isn't similar to Horus - SHUT UP!, January 23, 2012
This review is from: Princess Bible: Pink - International Children's Bible (Compact Kids) (Imitation Leather)
A few of you are probably thinking some of these stories are a little far fetched and that there isn't a shred of scientific evidence to support any of the statements. Others will say that the scale and vast size of an Ark simply couldn't have been built by one man (hello?! God was helping him!), or that Jesus is far too similar to Horus, the Egyptian God (shut up blasphemer). All I have to say to you liberal, unfaithful, Science believing (everything's a THEORY - that doesn't mean it's proof, grow up!) atheists is this - The Bible is true, it is the word of God. You want proof of that? Ok, how about this - it says it's the word of God in The Bible! BOOM - bet that shut you up. So given how awesome this book is you may be asking, why one star? Well because it's in sissy pink, and we don't want this to end up in the hands of a boy that might become a homosexual (if you're a homosexual reading this, seriously stop sinning - you know it's not natural and you're just doing it for attention - GROW UP) and women aren't even allowed to read (if you don't believe me read your bible - it says it there, duh!). Cheers for reading and God Bless you all.

would not buy, March 7, 2010
This review is from: Princess Bible: Pink - International Children's Bible (Compact Kids) (Imitation Leather)
I bought this bible for my daughter after she accepted the Lord Jesus as her savior. My little princess loved the look of it, What we didn't love is the terms used in it. While the KJV says that Adam knew his wife Eve and she conceived , this Bible will explain that Adam had sexual relations with her! I am disappointed greatly in this. I am not prepared to explain that to my 7 year old quite yet.... If you buy this be prepared for this statement every time the Bible says they knew their wives....

The Bible, keeping women in their place since 25BCE., February 1, 2012
This review is from: Princess Bible: Pink - International Children's Bible (Compact Kids) (Imitation Leather)
I had a child cousin receive this for the winter holiday and I nearly blew a bulb. Having read the bible I had to know so I gave it a look and, sure enough, several of the verses that consider women as second class citizens still existed;(Judges 19:24-25)(I Timothy 2:11-14)(Deuteronomy 22:22)(I Corinthians 11:3) (I Corinthians 11:8-9. It also said the standard things about gays, non-believers, pagans, heretics, apostates, etc and I approached the gift giver with my concerns. They understood that this was not the book for a growing girl and returned it, buying the young one something she could actually use.
