Comment: This book has already been well loved by someone else and that love shows. It MIGHT have highlighting, underlining, be missing a dust jacket, or SLIGHT water damage, but over-all itâ?TMs still a good book at a great price! (if it is supposed to contain a CD or access code, that may be missing)

I don't honestly know how this book got it's great reviews. I have never felt inclined to review things before now and my library spends thousands and thousands a year with Amazon on books so I know books from Amazon. There are 7 recipes in this book. The book is over $20. The recipes are NOT anything that require cooking or baking. They are 1. Magic Wands (pretzels covered with frosting and sprinkles) 2. Royal Jewels (fruit loops on licorice) 3. Fairy Tale Floats (pop and ice cream) 4. Princess and the Pea Salad (lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, peas, etc.) 5. Slipper Sandwiches (pb&j or cream cheese and jelly) 6. Castle Crunch (peanuts, cereal, dried fruit) 7. Princess Parfait (granola, fruit, yogurt) and that's it. Way too expensive and completely inferior to any cook book for children I have ever seen. I am returning it and purchasing "The Cookbook for Girls" by DK Publishing-it looks way better and it's half the price!

Both of these cookbooks were perfect for my great-grandchildren who are asking to cook with their father when he is responsible for the meal. The recipes were explained in their level of understanding with very simple ingredients.
Thanks for compiling these books.

She loved the Princess and the pea recipe. It was appropriate for a little 4 year old who is excited about wanting to do things on her own in the kitchen

I checked this book out from our library in an effort to get my 3.5 year old daughter more interested in eating her meals. This is one of the BEST cookbooks for kids that I have found. It does not have a thousand and one recipes, but that is what I like about it. She is not overwhelmed in picking something. There are real pictures of the food and finished products and fun little ideas for every recipe. While these recipes are not for meals, there are great snacks and smoothies and would be perfect for a themed party.
Best of all, my daughter WANTS to make these snacks AND eat them. We can't wait to check out the other books in this same series and try the Astronaut, Monster and Pirate goodies!
