Book Description

March 1993 The Library of Famous Women
As a member of the royal family, Diana transformed a figurehead position into a powerful and effective vehicle for international change. Her charm and compassion made the monarchy more accessible to her country's citizens and spread goodwill for Great Britain across the globe.

Slowly but surely, the accomplishments of women are being recognized and appreciated by the world at large. In our schools and in the media, more emphasis is being placed on the meaningful roles women play. The Library of Famous Women features an international collection of courageous and determined individuals who have overcome both personal adversity and societal prejudice to achieve their goals. Many of these important stories have previously gone untold, but now The Library of Famous Women brings the life stories of these powerful and eloquent role models to your young readers.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Women with Royalty, April 1, 2005
A Kid's Review
The purpose of this book is to create a general sense of what kind of life Princess Diana lived, and how well she works with others.

The audience of this book is for people who love Princess Diana and want to know morea bout her life story.

Some interesting facts about Princess Diana are:

1. Princess Diana was 13 yrs. younger then Prince Charles.

2. Diana was one out of her 2 older sisters and one younger brother.

3. Before Diana's mother gave birth to her, she had a miscarriage.

4. 10 days before her 21st birthday she gave birth to her fist child, a boy named William.

5. Princess Diana and Prince Charles married in St.Paul's Cathedral in London in July of 1981.

I would recommend this book to others, because it feels as if you really get to know her. It is a good life story of a women with royalty.

A Kid's Review
This book talks about princess Diana from birth to almost death...the book was published in 1993 and she died in 1997 so its a bit out of date but, still informative.Obviously, this book was writtin to inform people about the life of diana, but it does do a good job at doing so.I recommend this book to anyone interested in royal life...in my opinion this book, although a bit out of date is very interesting and informative.
