This Summers Hottest Soundtrack!,
By
This review is from: The Princess Diaries (Audio CD)
This is a great soundtrack! Theres only one song I don't like and that's because I'm not a rap fan! Most of the songs are pop and the album design is a bit girly (the back is pink), but the music is what counts. "Supergirl" by Krystal was a great pick for the films theme song. "Little Bitty Pretty One" by Aaron Carter is very catchy. "Miss You More" by BBMak is a great new song from the trio. "Crush" by 3G's and "What Makes You Different" by the Backstreet Boys are very good. "Stupid Cupid" by Mandy Moore was written specifically for her character to sing in the film and her voice is perfect. I loved all the songs except for "Ain't Nothing But A She Thing" because it's rap. But I have to say that the best song is by 15 year old Myra. It's called "Miracles Happen" and you'll be humming it all day! Buy this album today! If you don't like it, blame me!

Princess Diaries Soundtrack Review,

Because of limited space, I'll only review a few of the songs on the CD.Track1) One of the newer artists on the CD, this song has almost a kinky feel to it. The rhythm of the guitar and the beat of the drum combined create a song that just makes you feel like dancing, but move in slow motion at the same time. Track2) Although mostly `oooohs' and `oohaas,' it still has a catchy tune and is fun to listen to. This song is also a remake of the song played in Matilda. Track3) One of my personal favorites, BBMak has once again successfully produced a wonderful mid tempo song about he wants her back. A typical theme, well sang, nonetheless. Track5) One of the few songs of the Boys' where you can actually hear all of their voices. Being a previously unreleased song of theirs, it's nice being able to hear some of their other work. Track9) With its fifties feel, upbeat tempo, and cute lyrics, this makes the whole CD worth your money. "Hey, hey, set me free! Stupid cupid, stop pickin' on me!" Track10) After getting over the shock at much their voices have changed from their earlier recordings that so many people associate them to, I realized how talented they actually were. Now with their deep voices and advanced playing abilities this song is great addition the soundtrack.

The Soundtrack of this Summer!,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Princess Diaries (Audio CD)
This soundtrack ROCKS! I have not seen the movie yet, but this soundtrack makes me wanna watch it when it is released in my country. Here's my verdict!1) SuperGirl (Krystal Harris)- 3/5 Average. A rock song to start the album. Sounds a bit like Mandy Moore. 2) Little Bitty Pretty One (Aaron Carter) - 4/5. This cover song sounds funkier than Billy Gilman's song. Way to go Aaron! 3) Miss U More (BBMak) - 5/5 Excellent. BBMak ROCKS in this song. Check this out! The lyrics are simple and sweet. Killer Harmonies indeed! 4) Crush (3Gs) - 5/5 Sexy Cool. The female lead singer's voice is very smooth. 5 What Makes You Different (Makes You Beautiful) (Backstreet Boys) - 5/5 Top of the Pops. A new song from this fabulous band will melt your heart. Howie sings most of the lyrics here! 6) Miracles Happen (Myra) - 5/5 Happy Song. A Newcomer at her best! 7) Always Tomorrow (Nobody's Angel) - 5/5 Another Happy song. A cool tune to dance to! 8) Away With Summer Days (Youngstown) - 5/5 Summer catch! Very LFO style! 9) Stupid Cupid (Mandy Moore) - 5/5 Awesome. Mandy Moore sounds very cute in this song. 10) Wake Up (Hanson) - 4/5 Rocks! Although I'm not a Hanson fan, this song catches my attention! 11) Happy Go Lucky (Steps) - 5/5 An Anthem! I'm happy that a Steps song is found in this album. Steps is BIGGER and BETTER than before! 12) I love Life (Melissa Lefton) - 5/5 Wow! I'm surprised that this is not the main theme of "Princess Diaries". Watch out Britney, Melissa is here to stay! 13) Ain't Nuthin' But a She Thing (Lil'J featuring Angel and Tammy Phoenix) - 3/5 Average. A song to sing when you're feeling frustrated! 14) Hold On (B'Witched) - 5/5 Uplifting. B'Witched gives me hope and happiness by telling me to hold on to life. There will always be a light at the end of every tunnel! I'm looking forward to a new B'Witched album! 15) The Journey (Mpulz) - 5/5 Another uplifting song. Mpulz says "Spread your wings and fly! Gotta move on from what is breaking your heart. Don't let life pass you by..." This is very true! Overall, this soundtrack is a cheerful album to grab and listen. The songs are uplifting and sweet! If you're feeling sad or sad, I recommend this album to you. The message of love, hope and strength is conveyed by the singers. You must buy this album if you're into happy music!

Five Stars for Hanson,
By Stephanie (Birmingham, Al United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Princess Diaries (Audio CD)
The only reason this Cd would get five stars is for Hanson's WAKE UP. Even if you are not a fan of hanson, listen to this song. It's wonderful. It makes the Cd worhwhile. Trust me. One listen and you will be a fan. Also, Krystal Harris is an amazing singer, so give Supergirl a chance, but the real shining star of the cd is Wake up. Listen, you won't regret it.

Fantastic CD!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Princess Diaries (Audio CD)
I bought this cd shortly after the movie came out, and it is great! Supergirl is such a unique song and is sung with an excellent voice. I love Miracles Happen, it includes a harp in the song and really is cheerful and happy! Stupid Cupid is a funny song, and Mandy Moore's voice is like an angel's! I love life is definantly one of the best! I love it! The lyrics are cool! Hold On by B*Witched is worth listening too. All in All- the cd is worth your money and is great!

1) SuperGirl by Krystal Harris--I love this song! It puts me in a good mood every time. It's upbeat and empowering.2) Littly Bitty Pretty One by Aaron Carter--The song itself is decent and listenable, but I'm not too crazy about Aaron Carter and this song only supports my feelings. It isn't too bad, though... 3) Miss You More by BBMak--I like this song. It's more mellow than the first two songs, but it adds a great variety. 4) Crush by 3Gs--This is an awesome song that I look forward to listening to every time. 3Gs did a great job with this one, and it works perfectly with the CD. 5) What Makes You Different (Makes You Beautiful) by Backstreet Boys--I'm not a big Backstreet Boys fan, but I like this song a lot. It's also a nice song that sends across a very positive message. 6) Miracles Happen by Myra--Bravo! Excellent song! This is a great song to put on while you get ready for the rest of the day. Myra is a great singer and I hope to see more from her in the future. 7) Always Tomorrow by Nobody's Angel--This is really a great song. It makes me feel better after a bad day. 8) Away With the Summer Days by Youngstown--This song is catchy and will get stuck in your head, so beware. Not a bad performance, though. 9) Stupid Cupid by Mandy Moore--Good lyrics, good beat, annoying singer. Sorry, but I'm glad that this song is short. A lot of the times I just skip the song. I think it's just because Mandy Moore was actually seen in the film singing this, and she looked all pouty and innocent singing this, and I just don't like it. I'm not into Mandy Moore's style of singing. 10) Wake Up by Hanson--Not bad, not bad at all... It has a great beat and rythm. Hanson works with this song just perfectly, even if you aren't a fan. 11) Happy Go Lucky by Steps--I like this song a lot. If you listen to the lyrics, it should really help you realize it's just better to be yourself than pretend you're someone else. You will be happier that way, inside and out. 12) I Love Life by Melissa Lefton--This is a funny song!!! Some of the lyrics sound like she was just trying to fit words in that rhymed, but that's why it's so fun! This one will always make you smile. 13) Ain't Nuthin' But a She Thing by Lil' J--I'm not a rap fan at all, so I can't really say anything. I do like the refrain, but other than that, no comment. 14) Hold On by B*Witched--Very nice song. Upbeat, uplifting, and encouraging. This is truly an awesome song. 15) The Journey by Mpulz--Uhh, it's okay. I think it's kind of boring, but not too bad... Overall, I gave this CD a 4. I really like the CD with the exception of #13, because I don't like rap, the fact that it has some teeny bop pop in it, and that #15 is last (If they switched it with #6 or #14, they would have ended the CD on a much more dramatic note.). I do, however, recommend it highly!

Great Movie, Great Soundtrack,
By "edens_crush-dream_fan" (Chicago, IL USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Princess Diaries (Audio CD)
I didn't buy this CD, but I've listened to all of the tracks and I just have to say that it's a great soundtrack for a great movie.Supergirl by Krystal (Harris) - Is a great song that they chose for the theme song of the movie, plus the lyrics, and the song's great. Little Bitty Pretty One by Aaron Carter - I'm not a fan of Aaron Carter myself, but I do say that this song is catchy and great. When I first heard it, I couldn't believe it was Aaron Carter. Miss You More by BBMak - Great song! What can I say? This song has great lyrics and uh, I guess you got my point. Crush by 3G's - When I heard about 3G's, I thought they were just another girl group. Actually they have pretty good voices and this song is a great song. What Makes You Different (Makes You Beautiful) by Backstreet Boys - I don't know why they kept on playing this song in the movie but, I like it! It's a great track! Miracles Happen by Myra - I don't even like Myra, but I like this song. I didn't even know it was this song playing in the movie until I went on net and saw the track list. Always Tomorrow by Nobody's Angel - I haven't heard from Nobody's Angel in a long time, and I just have to say that this song has a great beat and lyrics. Away With The Summer Days by Youngstown - I don't like Youngstown, but they sound great in this song. Stupid Cupid by Mandy Moore - I didn't like Mandy Moore's character, Lana, in the movie. This song is great for Mandy Moore fans. She has just the right voice for this song. Wake Up by Hanson - I hate Hanson and I rate this song 3 stars, it's OK, but it needs more work on it. Happy Go Lucky by Steps - This song is pretty catchy. I Love Life by Melissa Lefton - I love this song. I've never heard of Melissa Lefton until now. She's great. Ain't Nothing But A She Thing by Lil' J feat. Nobody's Angel - I don't like rap music, but I would say that if you do like rap, I'm sure you'll like this song. Hold On by B'Witched - I love this song. Great lyrics. The Journey by Mpulz - Great song! Mpulz is just great! I didn't know they were so talented!!

HANSON, AND THATS IT.,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Princess Diaries (Audio CD)
i bought this cd for the hanson song just like everyone else has appeared to...and im going to say the same thing. Hanson is the only thing on that entire cd worth listening to. a ton of rediculous pop songs with cheesy lyrics and the same bad melodies of brittany spears and nsync's terrible songwriters.

I actually heard this whole CD when I borrowed it from my sister, and I was disappointed. It's great if you're really into pop and stuff, but I'm totally not. To me, the songs were too teeny-boppish. The one good song was "WAKE UP" by Hanson, which was awesome. Their music has matured so much; everyone really needs to give them a listen. They have a new album out, check it out!
