This game is just fun. Graphics very well done and it was a nice twist on the hidden object type game. It's more for the younger player but I think it could be easy fun for anyone looking for a clever relaxing game. I enjoyed it and the last puzzle had me stumped but if you can't get it there is a way out. (Nice touch for those of us that get very frustrated).

Princess Isabella: A Witch's Curse is a very good game and an excellent value at the reduced price shown on amazon. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that I play a lot of adventure and puzzle games (this is my 19th game review on amazon), and Witch's Curse is a mid-level difficulty game. (My five star-rated games are overall a little more difficult.)
However, if you don't want more difficult puzzles, or if you are new to computer games or are a teen or pre-teen, or if you just want a very fun game to play, I highly recommend this game. I very much enjoyed this it, as did my 17 year old daughter (who also plays tougher shooter games like Half Life 2). The art is great. You are are making your way through a haunted castle. As you rid each dungy room of evil sprites or ghosts, the room clears up and you see beautifully rendered rooms. I love combination games and Princess Isabella fits the bill. You have hidden object screens to complete, you have adventure objectives (where you have to put something in your inventory and use it later on) and you have puzzles to solve. In addition, if you get stuck, you have a little TinkerBell fairy who will give you a hint or, in the case of a puzzle, solve the puzzle for you. This is always a nice touch, because no one is good at every kind of puzzle. The game is inventive, fun and I was never bored!

Held my interest - a well made game,

Hidden-object games aren't my favorite; for instance I've played the highly rated Ravenhearst and didn't understand why people liked it so much. This game makes the challenge more interesting with (simple) puzzles sprinkled throughout instead of just a mind-numbing trek through one seek and find picture to the next. The ending is actually rather difficult with a Zuma type shoot-the-marbles game into a battle against a computer opponent. While I swore all the way through it, it did make the finale much more satisfying once it was completed.
The premise is simple, you're a princess (named Isabella, strangely enough) who has returned to her castle to find it taken over by a (wait for it...) witches curse. You travel from room to room finding objects with the help of a fairy similar to Tinkerbell who helps you along the way. She almost helps too much by explaining what needs to be done to each puzzle in order to solve it. Once puzzles are solved you search for mirror pieces to put together jigsaw puzzle style. Once a mirror is completed, a castle member is "released" and gives you an additional item to help you in your journey. I think the game would have been much more challenging if we were left to figure things out on our own as Tinkerbell's help makes the game rather easy. The seek and find puzzles aren't extremely challenging as many of the items you are looking for are in plain sight. Still, there were enough puzzles to take a couple days to solve all the way through. I estimate about 10-15 hours of play for a reasonably sharp-eyed individual. There are around 30 different rooms you have to search through; two floors of a castle, a garden, a stable, and a tower. Some of the rooms have multiple puzzles. If hidden-object games are your game of choice, you will find a lot to like in here and it's recommended. Finally, if you do like this game and are looking for a challenge of similar difficulty, I also recommend The Scruffs [Game Download] and Gardenscapes [Game Download].

This is one of the best games I have played in a long time. It is an adventure hidden object game. I could not pull myself away from playing this game. It is clever and unique.

Other people have reviewed the game play quite adequately, so I will just add that the game plays quite well in Wine on Linux. I've installed it on Linux Mint, Ubuntu and Kubuntu with absolutely no difficulties. No special adjustments were needed either.
The game is a bit short, but lots of fun for older children and adults. It's not difficult, so it is relaxing at the end of a long day. There are no time restraints, and no penalty for guesses.

I really enjoyed this game. I am not much into the hidden objects games, but this game was not focused on just the hidden object aspect. There were a few hidden object puzzles, but there were also different puzzles that kept me getting bored. I wish the game had been longer, because I finished it in about a day. I thinks children would really enjoy this one.

Interesting game - it was entertaining for a few days. Probably the age market for this game is 9-14 year olds.

I loved this game! It had a LOT of puzzles and not just searching for items. I would have liked to shut off the little fairy who helps you along the way and I probably could have under options but I must admit sometimes I needed her! I wish it was longer. I finished it in about 4 hours but it was great fun the whole way through. I'm going to check out more by this same company. I highly recommend this for someone who likes good graphics and a unique puzzle around every corner!
