My seven year old loves to listen to this CD over and over again, read the book, and knows all the words by heart. It is an amusing retelling of the original story. A great buy!

book is great, cd is worth it but wish it had its own case to stop it getting scratched, my girl loves listening to this at bedtime.

Good book, the actual size is smaller than I realized, but it's the old favorite story and has a cd for listening

The illustrations are excellent and the writing is good. My 5-year old has read/listened to it dozens of times. She really likes the story and I liked it too. The writing has a modern feel to it but the essence of the story remains true.

I had originally got this version of the Princess and the Pea as a library book a year ago and my daughter absolutely loved it (then 4 years old). She thought many parts were funny and the illustrations were great. Usborne books are usually superb, you cant go wrong with them, so when I found this on Amazon, I bought it straight away. This one also comes with a CD which my daughter loves listening to.

This is a great story. I had heard the story and wanted to make a stack of mattresses and a toy pea for my daughters to play with with their Barbies. So I sewed up the mattresses and got a green marble and ordered this book.
The only thing I didn't like is the witch. So, if you're uncomfortable with witch craft and a witch being a "good guy" then this may not be the book for you.

We purchased this for my daughter's 3rd birthday. Her party and gifts were "Princess & the Pea" themed. When it came, I did not expect her to love it because it seemed better suited for older kids, but she adores it. She carries it everywhere in her backpack and if she wants to hear the story when I am not available to read it to her, we pop the CD in. Very cute. I'm very happy with this purchase.

The illustrations in the book are great and we enjoy a lot of the Usborne books we have. The only reason I gave the book 4 star's, was the fact that it is a very small book (was expecting a much bigger book!, especially for the money!). We do however, like the fact that it does come with a CD, the writing does have a modern feel and the essence of the story does remain true to the original.
