5.0 out of 5 stars Girl Power!!!!, June 1, 2005
This review is from: Princess School #5: Princess Charming (Paperback)
Girl power! Yes! I love to see the girls, especially the spunky Rapunzel, standing up to boys and giving them a little surprise every once and a while. Zel, you go girl!

I'm not a little kid anymore, (I'm a 13-year-old girl ^.^) but what I like about this series is that there's so much going on, and yet the amazing authors have managed to fit it all, with details, into a small, short, easy-read book.

And the covers. Gotta love the covers-eye candy. (Only thing is, I'm still convinced that Ella should be a brunette . . .)

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Book!, April 8, 2008
This review is from: Princess School #5: Princess Charming (Paperback)
I read this book to my then 8 year old daughter, and she loved it! The central characters are Snow White, Rapunzel, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty as young girls. They are attending a special school to learn all about how to be a princess. The neighboring boys' school provides the girls with their male friends who are princes. It was fun to see these girls as independent, problem-solving girls as opposed to helpless individuals waiting to be rescued. I highly recommend this series to any elementary-aged girl!

4.0 out of 5 stars Short, fast-paced, and "charming", August 25, 2007
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Princess School #5: Princess Charming (Paperback)
This is one of several books in the Princess School series. In this particular book, Rapunzel's friend Val is getting ready for a jousting tournament at his school. But when Rapunzel begins instructing him in jousting, he begins to get proud. Rapunzel decides that she must beat him in the chamionship and show him! To do this she must sneak out of class at Princess School and overcome a number of obstacles. But when she decides to ride in disguise she begins to feel guilty. They had been friends and shared secrets for a long time; could she keep this secret, one that could humiliate him in front of his family and friends?
This was another fun book in the series. Although it's a relatively short book, that doesn't take away from its charm.
