My girls are enjoying everything Princess Tiana and this was a wonderful addition. Remember to adjust the knob for the pictures from the movie projector to become clear.

The Princess and the Frog Movie Theater Storybook and Movie Projector is a great way to introduce Princess Tiana to your child. The book is 30 pages long with beautiful illustrations from the newest Disney Princess movie. The accompanying projector is a fantastic addition to get your child even more involved in the story. The projector comes with 6 discs that each contain 4 slides with key scenes from the story. While reading the story, the side of the page lists which disc and scene on the disc correspond with the page. I love that the projector can either be attached to the book or removed to use on it's own. It is easy to focus and my 4-year old daughter is able to use it quite well on her own. We cannot wait to see the movie after reading the story. Great movie tie in!

The Princess and the Frog Movie Theater is a combination story book and device that's supposed to give your child the feeling of being at the movies. It includes the book, a wand projector and six plastic discs which are inserted into the projector. The discs can be stored in the little plastic case they arrive in, while the projector snaps back onto the story book for security when not in use. The front page of the book has clear illustrated directions on how to use the discs and projector with the parts of the projector clearly labeled. Embedded in the story are crown designs that are supposed to show you when to insert each numbered disc into the projector and when to rotate them.

The story is roughly 30 pages long and uses pictures from the movie as the illustrations. My daughter enjoyed looking through the story and picking out her favorite scenes as we had seen the movie a few weeks ago. The projector seems sturdy enough and comes with batteries already installed. The focusing knob also helps to make the picture projection more visible on a wall, which is helpful. She really enjoys this set, but there is a negative. In order to use the projector, the room has to be dark. It's kind of hard to read the book in a dark room, so she's decided that she'll either read the storybook or play with the projector. I guess you could have someone read the book loudly in one room while the child operates the projector in the next room, but that seems like a lot of hassle.

I'd give it three stars if I was using it, but since my daughter's played with it non-stop since it arrived, (and she's the target market) it gets four stars for entertainment value.

This is a nicely put together hard cover book.

The story is sweet and the projector adds an extra level of fun to reading the book. Kids love to use the projector and see the additional pictures that go along with the book. We enjoyed this.

"The Princess and the Frog Movie Theater Storybook & Movie Projector" is a combination set that combines the story of Disney's "The Princess and the Frog" with a star shaped projector and flashlight that can be used with reels to show 24 images from the movie. If you've seen the movie, then you're familiar with the story, but for those that don't know, it's the story of Tiana, who works as a server in a restaurant, but dreams of someday having a restaurant of her own. It's a fairly solid installment in the Disney Princess series. The wand makes for a lot of fun, adding value and entertainment. A wonderful collector's item for any fan of the film.

This book is wonderful for little princess fanatics everywhere. I really love that Disney added another princess to their collection (both because she's a different skin tone and because this movie was a return to hand animation). I'm not sure that those are the reasons why little girls love the Disney princesses, but a wonderful story is presented nonetheless in the movie and summarized by this book. The pictures are large and vivid. The projector is surprisingly effective and better quality than I expected. I can't say as much for the book binding, but this isn't exactly going to be handed down to your grandkids. Four stars.

Such a cute story involing Disney's newest princess! The star wand easily removes from it's storage block and transforms a wall or flat surface into a slide picture show that corresponds to the storyline using numbers and color matching within the book. The screen is small and that seems to be fine for younger children. My children seem to recommend all of the Theater Storybooks since they feel they are putting on their own presentations.My only complaint with any or all of them would be for the designers to start constructing a storage pouch for the individual slides since they are so small and become easily lost.

The book is very beautifully illustrated but the little projector, which is really the whole purpose behind this purchase, is really lacking. My 4-year-old had a difficult time turning the discs once they were in the projector and even I myself struggled with it. It seemed easier to just pull it out and put it back in on the right slide and that takes quite a bit more effort especially considering you have to try to line up the picture on the first go because it will be difficult to rotate if the alignment is off. Also the focus is extremely picky. Once you get it in focus, you cannot move a muscle or it will lose focus. Overall, I could have made a much better purchase for my child for the 16 bucks it costs to pick up this book.

If I could give this product two separate ratings it'd be a 5 for the book itself and 2 stars for the Movie Projector toy. The story itself is great and my boyfriend's 4 year old daughter enjoys having it read to her over and over again. It's hard cover which is a bonus since it'll stand up to a little abuse.

The toy Movie Projector was difficult to use as anything but a weak flashlight. It may be that ours was defective (though it didn't show any signs of having been damaged on the outside) but it was extremely difficult to get the 'discs' to slide in or out of it. Forget about a 4 year old being able to do this on their own. The image projected is also very small and only clearly visible if projected within a few inches of the wall (you do have the ability to 'focus' the image, but anything further than a few inches will distort the image beyond your ability to bring it back into focus). If it weren't for the fact that the kids love playing with it (without the slides) as a 'magic light up wand' - I'd give it only 1 star.

Basically, if you buy this product, do it for the book not the projector. If you can find this book without the projector add on, it would probably be a better purchase.

I got this Disney Pricess and the Frog Movie Theater Storybook and movie projector as a Christmas present for my 6 year old granddaughter. It ended up being her favorite gift over Zhu Zhu pets, a V-Smile pocket and lots of other expensive gifts. We all had to turn out the lights, sit in our makeshift movie theater and watch the movie stills projected on the screen. This item was something that I didn't give much thought to and wasn't sure if my granddaughter would even like the projector, being that little kids nowadays are so computer and tech saavy. I thought she would think it was a "baby toy" but boy was I wrong. She has asked for MORE storybook and movie projector titles so I guess sometimes
"LOW TECH" wins out over higher priced items.
