I had a Japanese CD of this album from around 1990 and lost it somewhere in the last few years, so glad to see that Cherry Pop had put it out with some awesome extended remixes added in. I have always been a huge fan of the PWL team and this being its first full production, it was a standout. Be sure to search out the extended remix of Bananarama's extended 12" mix of "Trick of the Night" which sounds very much like "Say I'm your Number One" by Princess. Also, don't miss the CDS by Ochi Brown and Haywoode. Both are fantastic. O'Chi and Arrivaland The Twelve Inches of Bananarama

It was my first semester in college, and there were plenty of great tunes playing on the radio including "Say I'm Your Number One" by Princess. I rushed over to Tower Records to purchase the song, the first 7" vinyl single I ever saw on the Next Plateau label. I didn't care much for "After the Love Has Gone" when it was released as the followup single. However, the third single, "I'll Keep on Loving You," caught my ear, but it was only available as a 12" single. I had to return it and get my money back because the record "skipped," a problem usually not associated with 12" singles.

As a record collector, I wanted to replace all my former vinyl favorites with authentic CD copies. I knew finding titles from independent labels, such as Next Plateau, may be a problem. After doing a search on Amazon Marketplace, I learned that as of 2009, "Princess" became available on CD for the first time. I was ecstatic to know that bonus tracks were also included, even the 12" version of "I'll Keep on Loving You" (and skip free)!

The upbeat "If It Makes You Feel Good" is a head-bobbing track that will go well when played on the car sound system. The cobwebs of my mind cleared up when I became re-acquainted with "Tell Me Tomorrow," another shoulder-shaking treasure.

Though the original album was short with only eight tracks, the inclusion of seven bonus tracks made the CD complete and a worthwhile purchase.

When I was stationed in Greece 25 years ago, I bought this on cassette - yes, I am that old. It's taken 25 years for me to find it on CD/digitally. And, believe me, I've been looking for that long! GOD BLESS YOU AMAZON! Now I have the chance to wear it out all over again. I love every song on this release. I only wish that they'd included the US 12" singles for "Say I'm Your Number One" and "After The Love Has Gone." Tiny complaint.

How appropriate for princess. she is beautiful, talented and above all unique. her songs are great and stock aitken and waterman ruled the late 80's with all their tracks. From rick astley to kylie minogue, ochi brown, bananarama, jason donovan, brothers beyond etc and ultimately doing the coolnotes classic - make this a special night wow. FANTASTIC. the best era ever.

Back in the 80's I LOVED Princess' video and song "Say I'm Your Number One". She's beautiful and talented. This cd has that song in several different styles and remixes plus some other songs. It brings back a lot of good memories. Her music video of that same song is on YouTube and until recently I hadn't seen it in 25 years or so. I LOVE it all over again!

If you're after a classic Stock Aitken Waterman album, look no further, soulful and dancey.

Princess was a pretty big deal in the UK when she released her singles and her albums, but it's not so much thanks to any classic SAW sounds that were so popular back in the 80s. Stock Aitken Waterman's first full album production sounds absolutely nothing like the HI-NRG for which they are known. Instead, this is R&B and club music that could be compared to what artists like Chaka Kahn were recording back then. Not bad stuff, but definitely a let down if you're looking for something more in the style of SAW collaborations with Kylie Minogue, Donna Summer, or Rick Astley. In fact, Princess's version of "If It Makes You Feel Good", which was a slammin dance track on Donna Summer's album a few years later, is downtempo here. The ONLY track that demonstrates the SAW sound is the garage mix of "In the Heat of a Passionate Moment", but unfortunately, that's not a full vocal mix! Track listing is:
