4.0 out of 5 stars Great Headlamp at a Great Price, May 19, 2010
This review is from: Princeton Tec Fuel Headlamp (Misc.)
Length:: 2:10 Mins

The Princeton Tec Fuel is a great affordable headlamp. It's lightweight, bright, simple to operate, and easy on the batteries (see product specs for ratings on lumens & battery life). Highly recommended in the $15-$20 price range. Apologies for the weird effects the light plays on my camera! Thanks for watching.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little light, August 10, 2009
This review is from: Princeton Tec Fuel Headlamp (Misc.)
I have owned this light for about 4 months, and have really liked having it. I ordered it because it had high ratings on REI's website, and it looked sturdy (I really dislike headlamps that lose the ability to stay pointed the direction you set them at). I have used it to ride my bike in the dark, hike, and read books after my wife goes to bed. It works great for all applications. The pivot works great, and doesn't show any signs of losing its grip. The different light settings are great for different situations. The Fuel is inexpensive, but worth the money. I even saw a review of the Tactikka Plus (Petzl) where someone switched and liked this lamp a lot more. This is a great lamp for anyone, and at the price, you could have two for the price of other comparable models. Would recommend to anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars great little headlamp, October 1, 2008
This review is from: Princeton Tec Fuel Headlamp (Misc.)
This is a great little headlamp. With only 35 lumens it puts out enough light to get you through the dark. I've used it while riding my bike. Cannibalized an old headlamp strap to attach to my helmet. It works great to light up the 10-12 feet in front of the bike, while my spot lights luminates 30 feet and beyound. It can project a beam of light as far as 30-50 feet, but I mainly use it to illuminate my cycling computer and 10 feet around my bike. In an emergency it could work as the main source of light on the bike.

Its well designed, but the plastic latch that holds the batteries I'm leery on it's durability. The good thing is that you don't have to use it until you have to change the batteries and it comes with it's own latch opener integrated in the strap. The light rotates up and down and designed so that your eyes aren't blinded by the lights above.

For the price this light is well worth it. Small and compact, but enough lumens to get you through a dark bike trail.
