Very High Quality but not quite as bright as I would like,

This light is really well made, and does what it says it does, but in this day of super bright LED'S I was a little disappointed in the brightness for the price. I have a larger diameter seat post, and the connector didn't fit. There are only three settings: On steady, flashing and sequential flash. That's adequate, but it would have been nice to have something a little more attention grabbing. Maybe I'm just paranoid about getting a semi up my butt.

Has the nice quality Princeton Tec construction. But so little info about this here or on their web site. "Race" means sequential, left to right. Saves batteries and most visible. Most clever is the two (one on each side) leds so you can see it from the side of the bike -- good if you are crossing a street.A push to release allows you to remove the light from the bike. The clamp looks too small to fit my older bike I keep overseas... but I'm hoping. Comes with some rubber strips for smaller rods? Who knows. NO INFO provided. The button to start this light is NOT smart (unlike the EOS light). You need to press multiple times to get to the mode you want. And then more times to get it to go off. You have to watch. I.e. If you press 2 times to get it on blink, you need to cycle past "race" to get to "off", i.e. two more presses. Batteries easy to get to and change. As the batteries get weak the brightness dims, i.e. not regulated. If you start with NiMH rechargables, it may start a bit weaker -- they warn you. I don't think that matters much. The blinking race pattern makes up for any weakness. They are super bright red leds, surface mount on the back, i.e. no dome top but flat, thus a wide angle of view and regular rounded tip mini-leds on the two sides.

DOES NOT FIT STANDAR BIKE POSTS,

SPECS ARE FINE BUT ONE MAJOR PROBLEM IS THAT THE MOUNTING RING DOES NOT FIT STANDARD BIKE POSTS. BOUGHT TWO. RETURNED ONE AND THE OTHER I MOUNTED TO LESS THAN DESIRABLE PART OF BIKE FRAME.
