I work as an engineer on a ship and I need very bright focused light and this light fits the bill perfectly. It is very bright. Has a great side flip switch vs the twist to turn on, which is less than convenient sometimes due to needing 2 hands. Only light I can find at this power level and still uses cheap AA's. Water proof down to like 500 ft. Bulb seems to last. Had many Pelican Super Sabres and was going through bulb modules every 2 months or so. A bit heavy for a flashlight but you get used to it very fast. It uses 8 AA's in a series/parallel configuration, pretty clever idea.
