I could really relate to her as she was approximately my age, balancing a career and a personal life. Plus I loved that the book was set in and around one of my favorite cities, Chicago. I was in the fortunate position of being able to meet the author, Gini Hartzmark, when the book was first published in 1992 because I was her publicist and got to go to a publication party in Cleveland, where she lived at the time. It was great fun to meet Gini and her family, friends, and the media and booksellers in Cleveland, where her books are big sellers.

I love this character! Well written novel with a terrific storyline. I've read each of the Hartzmark books featuring Kate Milholland and loved them all.
