As a classroom teacher, I am honored to be able to give a copy of Elaine's book to my administration.

Elaine McEwan's book is so easy to follow because of its sensible organization, and even the medical terminology is explained clearly enough that any reader can gain a clear understanding of the technical terms.

I particularly like the fact that the book is practical, and the accompanying booklet full of easy-to-use checklists is invaluable. The behavioral observation checklists are excellent because they will give the Section 504 team "real" classroom data on which to base their decisions.

Students, parents, administrators, and teachers all owe Ms. McEwan a vote of thanks for the hours that she has devoted to the study of current and historical research on ADD/ADHD. Because of her hard work, we now have a solid, up-to-date document to which we can refer in order to diagnose ADD/ADHD. More importantly, Ms. McEwan has provided all of us with actual strategies which will help ADD/ADHD students be successful learners.
