Informative, but not as 'user-friendly' as I expected.,

I had hoped this book would be an updated version of R.S. Cahn's book from 1974. It was not. Although it did provide info on the procedures and standard methods used to name chemical structures, I found the wording very 'stuffy' and stilted. It made it very hard to understand; the lack of examples, either verbal or visual, was the final factor which made me return the book. I much prefer the style of the older Cahn book.
