A very enlightening and comprehensive book.
It explains the principles of query processing in a way that makes it understandable both for rookies and for old-timers.

Btw.: The print in my copy is clear and sharp.

The quality of print is somewhat low. It looks like all pages are printed by inkjet printer. Cover page is somewhat blur. The text is not sharpyly printed. I don't think this is acceptable for a $80 textbook. Anyway, it's a good query processing textbook.
