Excellent EM Primer!,
This review is from: Principles of Emergency Planning and Management (Paperback)
As a new disaster director, this is a very useful tool in understanding how a disaster unfolds, and the subsequent response and management that occur. Mr. Alexander provides plenty of real-life examples of disasters to demonstrate the EM principles. The book is more focused on domestic responses in the U.S. than to the international arena.

This book is an excellent overview of emergency management. I highly recommend it as a text in a basic emergency management course or for those interested in the discipline.

This text bears no relationship to the practice of disaster management. I am noticeably retarded for having read it.
