About the Author
Mr. Diamantes received an Associates Degree in Fire Science Administration/ Fire Investigation, from Northern Virginia Community College (1995). He received his Bachelor of Fire Science degree at the University of Maryland (1995). He is also the author of Fire Prevention: Inspection and Code Enforcement, (2nd Edition) Delmar Publishers 2002. Mr. Diamantes is a fire prevention/protection consultant, code trainer, curriculum developer and author. He has twenty-five years of experience with the Fairfax County, Virginia Fire & Rescue Department as a firefighter, company officer, fire prevention officer, and is currently the captain. Mr. Diamantes has performed complex fire inspection functions, managed inspections, code enforcement, and acceptance testing functions. He has coordinated budget and training for the Fire Prevention Division, and participated in the code development process on the local, state and national level.
