This review is from: Principles of Holistic Skin Therapy with Herbal Essences (Paperback)
Finding this book was the foundation for my learning how essential oils act on the different body systems. Dr. Gumbel explains the connection between the pituitary and all the senses in such a way, that we can finally understand how important it is to integrate a wholistic understanding of the body, including smell, into the healing process. Because the pituitary controls the release of hormones, antibodies, and other growth processes, how could there be ANY healing without the use of essential oils which affect the pituitary and other brain structures. This is THE book on aromatherapy. This is AROMATHERAPY 101 for anyone interested in understanding what the effect of essential oils are on the body's organ systems. Dr. Gumbel offers the only unified theory on the use of essential oils based on the relationships between the plant and the human body. Thank you Dr. Gumbel for showing us the wisdom of the oils. |
